Chilly, windy for Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers Sunday game at FirstEnergy Stadium

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Good news: There is officially no argument to not draft a QB at #1 because of Kizer.

John Dorsey just needs to find the best QB in the draft and pick him at #1. That pick will make or break his tenure. no pressure

If Hue Jackson is worth millions a year, I deserve my own island

He's only 21 years old, he's signed for peanuts and he has a lot of physical gifts.

There's no reason for him to be off the roster in 2018. But he should be in a third string developmental role behind the No. 1 overall pick and a veteran backup.

I wouldn't get rid of him altogether, but it's a legit question if he's even worthy of being in this league going forward.

I don't see any difference between him and WEEDman. Except he might be worse.

I could care less about losing this game. 1-12 v. 0-13 doesn't make a difference.

What I am frustrated with is the fact that Hue's coming back next year.

I like Hue more than most of the people here, and I was really pulling for him to succeed, but they've got to cut him loose. I get that the Browns are not a talented team but no NFL team should ever go 1-28, I don't care how bad they are. This is not high school football where some programs are just flat-out physically overmatched. No NFL team has ever lost 28 out of 29 games and no NFL team ever should. Hue has to face the music for that.

I thought I'd lost the capacity to be pissed over a Browns game but this game has me royally ticked off. Just such an egregious example of a team finding ways to lose.

Hue was awful
Defense was worse:
Backup qb rolls into town and throws for 265, 3TDs and completes over 75% of his passes. I’d hate to think what would happen if Rodgers was playing. What a pathetic excuse for a football team. Fire Hue and let the new coach bring in his own DC

Quarterbacks with physical gifts are a dime a dozen. Mentally, he isn’t even close.

At this point I'd be fine with cleaning house as long as the new defense stayed with a 4 man front. But it ain't gonna happen.

Problem is, does anyone trust Hue Jackson to come even close to our new #1 pick QB?

I sure as hell don't.

Except Weedman was old as fuck

So I’m pretty sure Kizer’s last play rivals the infamous Brandon Weeden “flipper” as one of the worst throws of all time...

If this was an expansion team? I'd get it. That's literally the only excuse for their failures.

But this is accurate...I don't understand keeping this guy after this. This is the lowest I've seen a franchise get outside of the 08 Lions.

Perhaps even worse than that. Because at least the lions had mediocre seasons sandwiched between their 0 and 16.

I edited my last post to reflect it, but that's the reason I remain skeptical going forward. Also:

With both Hue and Dorsey reporting to Haslam, what happens if that #1 pick QB struggles? Does yet another power struggle occur?

I really think they'll force Hue to work with an offensive coordinator that Dorsey chooses, and that guy will be Hue's replacement if the team doesn't do a dramatic turn around.

Top flight RB scores on that long Crowell run; dude is an ok backup but a real weapon back there would really help.
