Chris Bosh

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If we read into every little interaction Wade and LeBron have (and this hardly counts as that), then LeBron would still be in Miami after that plane ride.

That said, I do think Wade ends up in Cleveland next year.

Been thinking about that myself, but he's opting in, so I don't know how he'd actually get here? A buyout? Not sure that works out for him considering how high his salary is. One would think he'd wanna be traded, and we're not gonna move major salary to get a 36 year old Wade at what $26M, right?

I've thought buyout from the beginning. Takes a buyout around the trade deadline, sacrifices a few million to do it, but he still makes the majority of his deal.

I mean... what kind of buyout though? Like, is GarPax going to just hand him millions to not help them in the playoffs? Hard to imagine considering there is no real loyalty established between parties..

If we think about it, he's got what $26M coming to him? Buyout would happen post-trade deadline, say late February early March? How many games would be left on the table? 15..20 or so? So $6.5M remaining to be paid?

I suppose it's possible..

Yeah, if they're in the playoff picture, it won't happen. I don't expect them to be. I think they move Butler in the off-season, Wade makes it known soon after, both publicly and privately, that he doesn't want to be part of a rebuild. Frankly, I see it happening much the same way the Deron deal went down this year.

I'd imagine the Spurs would be right at the top of the list.....

He can play center in their system, his defense is actually decent (he can thank Miami for that) and he'd be a great stretch option on the court from the 5. I'd imagine playing for Pop would be intriguing as well. Lastly, San Antonio isn't far from his hometown...

Would love to see that happen if Cleveland falls through.....

Reports: Doctor's ruling on Chris Bosh's health will help Heat's cap situation

An NBA doctor has ruled thatChris Boshis dealing with a career-ending illness, meaning theMiami Heatwill be able to remove his contract from their salary cap once they officially release him, according to multiple reports.

Bosh hasn't played since February 2016 because of blood clotting issues.

He still could return to playing in the NBA after his official release from the Heat but must provide the league with the necessary medical evidence that he is healthy enough to do so. Bosh is guaranteed $52 million over the next two seasons, though a significant portion of that is covered by insurance.

Bosh has remained on the Heat roster as the sides have worked through complex medical and legal issues in this delicate and unique situation. It's a process that has played out since last fall when Heat team doctors declined to clear Bosh to take part in training camp following blood test results.

Last week, the Heat, Bosh and the National Basketball Players Association tentatively agreed to a resolution that would allow all parties to move on, sources told ESPN.

Part of the reason the process has been so drawn out is the sides are caught between two collective bargaining agreements with differing rules on players with possible life-threatening medical conditions. The new CBA, which takes effect July 1, has policies for evaluating player health, partially because of Bosh's situation.

Bosh has said in several interviews he still hopes to find a treatment plan that would allow him to return to the floor in the future. Under the current rules, if he were to return and play more than 25 games for another team, his cap hit would return to the Heat's books and they would potentially face luxury tax penalties.

Working that out was part of the motivation from the Heat's side during the discussions.

Under the new CBA, a panel of doctors selected by the league and the union would determine whether a player with a life-threatening medical condition would be cleared to play.
