Cleveland Browns 2017 Training Camp

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Erving is probably the worst Brown I ever watched.

False start followed by letting his assignment blow right by him and a holding call to boot.

Osweiller looks sharp...as do the Browns...

Man penalty after penalty...this crap has to stop...first game or not aren't we past this at this point?

I see that the NFL Network is carrying the Bears preseason game instead of the Browns. Please give plenty of updates for those of us who can't watch. Preseason games aren't Browns Backers Bar worthy for me.

We'll spare you the ugly details, Keys.

Buckle up, buckaroos. It's gonna be a long season.

We are up 7-6 heading into the 4th. Erving was cut midway through the 1st. Brock is already on the sideline drinking a Natty Daddy. Kizer, which my phone keeps autocorrecting to Loser, looks timid. Our passing game is like Swiss cheese. There has been more whistles blown our way than jailbate walking by muscle beach.

Our starting D didn't look bad, though.

Kizer just made a great throw.

I agree with both sides.

I don't think it's as simple as "the best player at every position should play every week" because I don't think that is what is best for the team. Saying that I think is pretty naive and contrary to this

What is best for the team will be playing the best player regardless of when the guy was taken in the draft. They have shown since this regime took over, it doesn't matter where you were drafted, it matters what you do on practice day and when you get opportunities.
that is not at all what has happened. Cam Erving is fucking miserable. Literally any of our other lineman were better plays than him. But, in a lost season, we let him play a ton (and kill several QBs in the process)

You don't start the season with all rookies. You want to maintain a sense of the season not being lost before it begins. This is where I agree with everyone but triplethreat.

BUT, once you are 1-7. The best move is no longer playing for this season and going with the "the best player must play" route. The best move is developing the young bucks who are a part of your future.

I just don't think you can start the season off by waving the white flag even though we all know we will totally suck. The players aren't preparing that way and neither is Hue.

1-7?!? We all know we will totally suck?!? Bro, on a conservative basis, we're winning 9 games, and I have us at 12-6 again this year, for the 3rd year in a row.

Do we think this is true? Anyone want to do a pole?

Justin Gilbert was pretty bad. The first round suck is tough.

And for me, it might be Johnny Manziel taking the cake.

Mike Junkin? Anyone remember that early first bust?

From a football IQ perspective, he's probably the dumbest player I've ever watched.
