Cleveland Browns 2017 Training Camp

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hue Jackson presser after practice today:

Brock is starting, Kizer 2nd, Cody 3rd, Hogan 4th

Doesn't mean anything for regular season, just this game. Keep goin...

Brock's reps could increase or decrease.

Will see Kizer before the 2nd half 100%

Referring to Joe comments about Kizer "I think every player has opinions. Joe knows I make the decision."

Joe Thomas will 100% not play against NYG

What is thinking behind starting Brock? "RIght now Brick deserves opportunity to walk out first. With DeShone, he earned to walk out in 1st half"

Brock has done a good job managing our offense. Putting people in right spots and places. He will be first to tell you he will need ot place throws better, etc.

Bitonio injury - Things happen. We will get him back. Comfortable and confident. Sooner rather than later. NOthign major

Should have both of them back before regular season (Bitonio/Joe)

Decide (on starting QB) hopefully by 3rd game. Whoever it is has a VERY GOOD CHANCE to trot out there against Steelers Week 1

Joe will play next week. Him on scout team doesn't mean anything.

Ogbah - Happy with development. Having our Dline people will only make him better.

Erving injury - Erving has shown good things, but inconsistency. He needs to continue to get better. He is stil growing. :chuckle:

Translation: Erving has done a great job of cleaning up after me, getting my dry cleaning, and even filling my tank with gas. But when it comes to football, yeah, he is a nightmare.

Well it seems like Monday night will be the make or break night for Osweiler. If he plays really well then he has a good probability of getting the starting job and if he plays poorly and Kizer plays well, then it is Kizer's job.

I honestly think its more make or break for Kizer.

It really seems that brock is a mere placeholder, although a needed one,

Once Kizer is ready to take the next step of learning and actually start in the regular season the job is his.

I really think that Brock just do not have the skills necessary to keep kizer from taking his job eventually.

Not a matter of if, just a matter of when.

Really would be huge if someone steps into that other safety role and becomes a leader.

What other safety spot?

Kindred I thought had one on lockdown and Peppers will most likely win the other?

Are you referring to our 3 safety sets, or am i thinking more of Kindred than I should?

I think Kindred is really a marginal player. He made a couple plays but I think he's suspect as a pass defender and misses too many tackles. We're installing a 3-safety offense with 4th round draft picks, a 1st round washout, some UDFAs and Jabrill Peppers as the talent. They will need to keep investing in this position next season.

Honestly we need to give guys time. None of us know who we actually have on this roster and it is not like undrafted free agents cannot become good players. Heck we seem to be able to do better scouting undrafted guys than we ever have been able to draft guys. Gipson was undrafted and become a good player in Cleveland. Let these guys settle in and see what we have (Though I do agree we will spend a high pick on our secondary/spend money on it, next free agency, but we don't know until guys have been given a chance)

I look at those highlites and still cant believe the arm talent he is showing. Its really the best arm we have had since testaverde, and even then Kizer might have more arm talent.

Is this bid for canton or cleveland? Like it seems like the hof and browns are paired in this bid.
