Cleveland Browns Quarterback Position

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You mean the Browns game, where Brady came back and threw for over 400 yards and it was Garoppolo who played the game out? Seems like definitive proof.

I dont mind putting up with different opinions, but some of these hot takes lack basic research.

JG: 0-1 for 0 yards. How's that for research?

Bill might have been setting 'em up even then, LoL

So you got Belichick putting an injured Garoppolo out their hurt just to fuck with the Browns. That's Belichick's priority in your mind then?

CommD starting to get wrecked in here..

Bad takes happen, but only you can prevent digging your heels in on them to make things worse.

Its all good. I got attacked for saying we should take Dak Prescott in 3rd Rd before last year's draft...sometimes you just have to stand strong for what (might be) right!

I wont bash you, just seems your opinion is you dont like Jimmy G. personally I wont say he has a bad injury history yet either, just been injured once.

But since you brought up being right on Dak (I liked him too), what do you want the Browns to about our QB situation for next year?

Claiming a win on Dak isn't all that meaningful, given how clearly he was carried by the team around him.

But right now, I dont even know what you're arguing.

That JG is prone to shoulder injuries because it happened that one time?

As I have posted in other threads, I actually like the Tyrod possibility best because of the potential cost/benefit win, combined with a Mahomes/Webb developmental lower pick. Really like avoiding the opportunity costs associated with JG: I want to make all of the first five picks to bring in starter level talent.

What you are really doing with Taylor is upgrading RG3. Combining him with Watson would be awesome, but unlikely. Unfortunately, when it's all said and done, I don't think BUF will let him go in favor of Cardale.

With Garoppolo, I have absolutely nothing against him and if Hue chooses to go that route fine. Just don't want to see 1st round picks combined with an automatic big-dollarextension for an unproven player. And he IS unproven. There's potential there, but that is what it is--potential. So if they can do the 2-2's deal OK--that why Sashi got us the extra picks in the first place. I am just not anointing this guy before I see him win in a Browns uniform as many seem to want to do.

The best remaining scenario would be to take one of Watson (preferably) or Trubisky at 12; but I don't think they will available there.

Therefore, with pressure mounting to address (solve) the QB in this draft process; I believe that when draft day rolls around, CLE will wind up trading down a couple spots (or stand pat at 1) and draft their potential FQB, then trade up from 12 for Solomon.

There you have it!

What many on here see in Jimmy G is a legit QB. I too dont want to trade a 1st, but willing to give pick 33 and a future earlly but not first pick to get him. He would be the best answer at QB we had in years, but is he THE answer? Not sure.

Personally I am highly intrigued by Mahomes. Huge Boom or Bust potential, but the arm talent is amazing.

I am all over the place on Tyrod. He really didnt do much in Buffalo, he looked ok, but he did have some really good weapons and only looked ok.

And we keep forgetting about Kessler who just graded out similar to Wentz. I am not sold on him, but if he fixes his down field issues, then he will be a good QB. Ofcourse that is a huge if also.

Just wanted to give you a chance to speak because I think allot of what you were seeing was being misconstrued by the pro Jimmy crowd.

I really like Pat Mahomes as a prospect.

I don't like the fit of Pat Mahomes in Cleveland. He really needs to sit behind a Drew Brees or Carson Palmer for a year to get the mechanical stuff down.

He stands little chance of succeeding in year one, and putting him on a negative path to open his career could mean some bad habits stick around.

But that talent is big time if he can ever put it all together.

I am curious what Dak would have done on a team where he wasn't surrounded by a tremendous o-line, a HOF level RB and a very strong receiving core. That said...it's not as if Dak was rookie year Roethlisberger. He did a lot himself.

Also...Jimmy G's shoulder is one hit away from separating and walking off the field to smoke a doobie with the other JG.

I mean, so is Dak's.

And it's not as though he's any stranger to the sauce.
