Cleveland Indians 2018-2019 Offseason Outlook

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Cheapest non-standing package was the Upper Reserved section, which was $500 after fees. Ticket package includes the HR Derby, All Star Game, Celebrity Game + Futures Game on Sunday, a program, and maybe something else. I think there might be some "legends" thing on Sunday too.

Shoot I cannot even afford to buy a 60 dollar video game right now let alone try to do that lol

I have a quarter season plan and may end up with the chance to get tickets, but after seeing all the prices, I may just pass. Not sure if worth the trouble of selling the other games/events that I do not want to attend.

Cheapest Derby tix are likely to be around $150-200 I think.

This is what I'm targeting, as I don't have too much interest in the game.

I just paid $75 for the 2 tickets that are row 2 right at 3rd base spring training and that included all of the fee's. I know you used to go all the time, but I cant reiterate that spring training is such a great sports experience.

@AZ_ also not sure if you have kids, but it so much better of an experience going with a kid because of how the players treat kids during pre-season. I keep talking about it because it really is one of my favorite things and I am not the baseball fan you are, just wait until you get to take a son to spring training, it will be one of your favorite memories ever.

That's the plan one day.

Honestly as awesome as you think it is, its actually much better, hard to describe how fun it really is in real life and how the fond memory is just implanted in your brain.

I think for this, no other sport can compete with baseball. Even growing up my Grandpa was a bigger football fan than baseball although he played baseball in college, but memories of going with my Grandpa to baseball game are right up there with my favorite memories. Maybe we should start a thread and have everyone share.

Daniel Johnson just went deep

is he supposed to have power?

They think its something he can develop because of really good bat speed, but to date he hasn't shown too much game power.

Body seems like its starting to fill out. Really hoping they've found something here.

What happened to will benson? Shouldn’t he be on his way up by now?

Benson essentially retooled his swing last season and is hoping to have a good year. He is still young, but he does need to show an improvement this season. We got him out of high school and the age players usually come up is around 23-25 so he is a couple seasons away at earliest!

is he supposed to have power?

In A ball in 17 he hit 22 HRs so he does have some power, but I expect it more coming from good swings than just pure power alone. He should be around 20 HRs a season when/if he plays everyday.

Is Johnson ready for the majors?

He just got to AA last season, so I am expecting a year between AA and AAA this year. He has good speed, range and a strong arm, but needs a little more polish with the bat and in the field. It also doesn't help we have a log jam of left handed bats in the OF.

That being said our OF isn't extremely deep, so if injuries and/or major struggles happen and he is playing well at AAA, he could be brought up like we did with Allen a few years ago. Right now he is behind like Barnes, Marabell but honestly could leap frog them with a good spring and minor league season (Which a lot of expect him to do).
