After the first OT that he tied it up, it was weird they just to Clarkson basically everytime. For how good of a game both Clarkson and Sexton were having you would think they both would have gotten their shots.

Once Nance fouled out we were in trouble, but somehow managed to hold it together even after Chriss fouled out. When we lost Nwaba it was hopeless defensively with Delly, Sexton and Stauskas on the floor.

Impossible to run much of an offense, but Clarkson can create his own shot, so that's what had to be done.

I think sexton got tired, which is understandable considering this is what? his first or second overtime? let alone a triple ot.

He was deferring to Delly and Clarkson. He is willing to take the reins like when he tired it up, but he also knows when to let am older head go.

I'm pretty impressed with him lately. He looks like he had turned a corner.

One thing is that he seems to get most of his assists in the first half and doesn't give it up enough in the second half.

Cool game for Sexton. Shocking Carroll tired it for the 3rd ot

Shocking but happy about it!

Collin is an extremely dangerous guard, but I'm not sure he's a PG.

Seems like a future 6th man. Which is still a very good outcome for this team, considering I think he could be legitimately instant offense.

Depending on the team around him he could start at PG but he isn't ever gonna be a true lead guard. If you have an elite play making SG or SF that can run the offense he can start.

Essentially he appears to be a 2 guard in a point guards body much like Monta Ellis or Jason Terry (Not game style like Jason Terry) just similar height and lack of play making skills. So if he starts its about what we have at other positions but a lighting sixthman would still be nice to have considering the history of the 8th pick.

What about Kemba Walker? can't he be some what similar if or when he improves his off the dribble 3 ability and increases his attempts?

Nah, Kemba still has elite court vision that Sexton has never shown.

Some words about Russell Westbrook that were kind of funny in retrospect...

One thing I like about Sexton in recent games is that he looks like he's figuring out what to do with his speed. He had the Nets scared in transition a whole lot, speeding down the court and stopping for the other guys to get there.

If you go back to the first few pages of this thread, Sexton is extremely bright by any standard. He can figure out what changes in his game he has to make to make the team great. He'll be fine.

Yeah and they are a good transition defense team. He has been way more under control in that regard. Loved him bringing the ball back out and then blasting to the rim once he had the spacing back.

He had a bunch of good kickouts and reads the first half. He needs to keep his passing game going the whole time. Something about this team seems like they want to go 1 on 1 the whole second half.

Playmaking and defense. Those are the question marks.

Some of the negatives of Westbrook from that thread:

Negatives:
Average at best ball handling
Average body control(This might have a bit to do with the fact that he grew 5 inches 3 years ago)
Not always under control(body too fast for his mind?)
Below average pull up jumper
Average jumps shot
Doesn't always think fast enough, which leads to turnovers in the lane
Doesn't always locate bigs in the lane(ends up getting more shots blocked than he should)

Collin is also a year younger than when Westbrook got drafted. I think if he shows out the rest of the season like the last few games we have a lot to be positive about.
