Lou Williams.

Still think hes got legit Kemba Walker potential though.

His movements on the floor don't remind you of Beverley? not the projection as a scorer/overall player, but how they move and play. Both are very stiff to me and upright in the way they dribble and attack.

Sexton is like a kid that just got keys to a Ferrari and has no idea how to drive it.(but is slowly learning) That's who he is.

He's actually a really really really good scorer for a rookie. It's clearly a big strength.
His efficiency sky rocketed after the break. Like it would be difficult to find such a jump from another player and he still seems to be holding onto it and doing it more and more consistently

It's a cycle that feeds on itself. the more fouls he draws the more he is respected as a guy who attacks the rim. The more 3's he hit and fewer long 2's he takes he gets more and more efficient. He was doing some of this stuff better before Kevin Love, but it is hard to ignore how much better space he has had since Love came back, and now the whole team is shooting 3's at a much better rate. The cavs were 28th or 29th in attempts before Kevin came back and now they are 6th in attempts.

There was a stretch where Collin would take 1 a game and Cedi would take 4. Clarkson would take like 2 and that was it. They are playing the modern game now and it is leading to success.

He way more patient and in control. It's pretty obvious the game has slowed down for him.

I don't really see the Lou Williams comparison. Maybe if you're talking peak Lou but as a 19/20 year old Collin is doing what Lou did at 26-29 years old. Lou has never shot 40% from 3 either.

I've gone back and watched clips from the first few games of Collin's season and the last few games recently. It's absolutely remarkable how his court sense has changed. He looks like he belongs out there. His spatial awareness is about 1000% better. he knows where guys on defense are going to be. he knows what he can and can't do. There's flow to his game whereas he looked totally out of rhythm initially.

Great pick!

Upping his three point volume has been huge. A few of us have been begging for this since the beginning.

I take back all the negative shyt I said about this kid. He reminds me of Tony Parker but faster and more athletic. Once he learn to utilize pick and screens like Tony, hes an all star.

I never said anything negative about him.

his spot up 3's looking real nice at times. It's huge for his future fit. His form continues to improve.
Kid is a player. Period. Solid choice for a 8 th pick. As bad as this season started off I feel a young core of Sexton cedi zizic nwaba and nance is something to build on. Especially with loves influence around

I thought he was looking good, but everyone on Twitter says he sucks and that Ja Morant is the clear cut #2 pick. I guess we will trade him over the summer.

What I keep chuckling over is everyone yelling about how he isn't a point guard. The league has evolved to a place where your best passers aren't point guards. Yes, he needs to be better with making passes when it makes sense but he'll never be that guy. Osman is likely to be the leader of that statistic on our team.

Go through the league and look at the PG's on teams. Trae Young out of the youngsters is a legit passing talent. Who other in the newer generation falls into the concept of true point guard?

The kid's game has gotten better and that's what I've wanted to see. He's grown and improved DURING the season and that is a very rewarding concept. Keep after it Young Bull.

okay, I will for you then.

He’s still a 6’2” shooting guard.

He's two inches taller taller than Allen Iverson. I'm not saying Sexton is AI, but pair him with a taller guard who can also play a little point and it would work. AI played both PG and SG. So did Danny Ainge and Dennis Johnson.

I don't necessarily agree that you need a "Point Guard" and a "Shooting Guard". In fact my ideal backcourt would have two guards that could BOTH shoot, pass and play some D. Walt Frazier and Earl Monroe is the classic example. In the modern game versatility is even more important.
