Corey Kluber

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think this is a ban worthy post

Did you miss the 2016 postseason? Kluber fucking willed us to the World Series

People turning on Corey after last year's postseason was some of the most shameful nonsense I've ever seen as a Cleveland fan.
Ban worthy, lol. Don’t take yourself so seriously, Moz.

Maybe my quick take came off as critical. Unintended. Of course I followed our Cy Young pitcher and agree he anchored the best rotation in baseball. And I wasn’t turning on him. He’s my favorite starter. But I, like many, was confused at how precipitously he dropped off against the Yanks. And I don’t recall the definitive revelation of an injury (thus my parenthetical ? to maybe get more clarity)

From right after Game 5 loss last year:

Kluber (0-1) and the Indians have said he's healthy, but in his two ALDS starts, he has not looked the part. He allowed three runs on three hits in 3 2/3 innings on Wednesday. In Game 2, Kluber allowed six runs on seven hits in 2 2/3 innings.

"I think he was fighting a lot," manager Terry Francona said when asked if Kluber's back was a problem."I think you also have to respect that the guy wants to go out there. He's our horse ... and sometimes it doesn't work."

He added that he thought Kluber was good in the first inning, but "his stuff was trending down" by the third and fourth innings.

Kluber said there was no problem with his back, but when told of Francona's statement, he said, "I was healthy enough to go out there and try to pitch."
