Just dropping in to say I am out of IOTA, and now getting into some obscure coins. It's going to be a wild ride here, and I can't be relied on to update so I'll just say that I think this space has lots of promise and it will get more bubbly before it bursts.

Good luck to all!

Fuck it. My computer is full or viruses because of porn and so I don't know what to do because i'm afraid I might get hacked if I opened an account on an exchange or a desktop wallet.

What should I do? I know I want to order LEdger Nano S , but I have to open soem kind of wallet in the meantime as I'm losing value on some very good ICO. I was so set on Ripple and Tron when they were at the very bottom, but i'm i'm just delaying it because I'm afraid of security issues.

What should I do here? I ran Anti Virus and Malware Bytes and they cleaned my virus issues, but I'm still scared.

I have only around 2.5k USD to invest. Not nearly as I want. Been trying to convince my father to jump on the bandwagon and help me out, but he is afraid because he thinks it's gambling. He seems fine with his 250+$ investments in stocks with an yearly 5% steady return.

He wants to ask his friends, but he is clueless and i'm losing precious time here and I just can't figure out what to do in regards to the wallet and the exchange.

Damn.

Did some Cryptocurrency crash today?

Haven’t bought anything yet...what happened? What should I buy, and how much?

Now is the time to buy. Lots of panic selling going on on. Markets are way down. Only risk what you can afford to lose.

I don’t think it’s just ebbs and flows. China’s very anti crypto stance and regulations that are coming down to me seems like a pretty reasonable reason for profit taking/holding out for now.

I don’t think panicking is wholely unreasonable given the fact that one potential roadblock for cryptos has always been regulation and now a huge country is going down that path

Perhaps it’s a good buying opportunity, but there’s a pretty good reason for this dip and I warn interested investors to thoroughly look into it before buying on the dip. Sometimes dips are there for a reason and sometimes a dip keeps on dipping

I don't really understand how something so volatile can be a solid investment. I thought about getting into it, though. Not Bitcoin so much but some of the others.

South Korea just did the same. Japan probably following suit.

How do you see crypto-currencies fairing when the stock market violently corrects itself in the next year or so?

You can't regulate decentralized things. It's like someone trying to regulate gravity. It might margin call the leveraged idiots but it can't be stopped. It's too late - the genie is out of the bottle. It's coming guys - lots of changes. Changes to lots of aspects of your lives. Some of these coins are worthless, some will be much larger.

The bubble phase has another year or two. My hair stylist didn't know what a bitcoin was. You could probably do better than I will if you just pick coins on the 2nd page of CMC that are trading under $1. I am in some ones that have insanely attractive fundamentals, from a risk/reward standpoint.

If you aren't going to pay attention to them, you'll probably do best just to buy ETH/NEO for 1/3 of what you are willing to lose and deploy the other 2 1/3 on any dips so that you don't end up selling into what we saw a couple of days ago.

The forward real returns of the S&P are what? 3%/year? There's a chance that stocks and bonds go down in sync and then people will really be all fucked up.

BTW - securities including currencies and equity will all trade on a decentralized global block chain within 3 years. Your parents won't use it but anyone under @Maximus's age will.

1 more thing I need to add: be VERY careful out there. So many coins will hype then pop and simply not recover. Even ones that are in the top 10... if the coin has no utility or reason to keep it, even if the technology is cool, then it could be used by everyone yet still be worth next to nothing.

What are the fundamentals of crypto-currency?

Also, who is going to take financial advice from someone who doesn't understand how fractions work?

1. figure it out. or don't.
2. I was distinguishing between adding the other 2/3 at once or doing 2 additional 1/3 purchases. It did come out rather poorly.
