So my gaming rigs power supply died last Friday. It took out my motherboard also. Needless to say I am not a happy camper at this point. But what can ya do. My backup PC was a 8 year old laptop. Slow as hell. So Monday I went over to BestBuy and got me a new gaming Laptop. Not a top end rig, but pretty decent. HP Omen. 12 gig ram, AMD 580. 1 TB hard drive. Got it on sale for $1100. Put it on the Best Buy card..........$100/month for 12 months.
Ordered a new motherboard for the main gaming rig and put in a new power supply. Hoping that I don't have to do a total reformat on the gaming rig. But we will see. Total spent so far $1600.
PC gaming is a lot of fun, and I will never go to console, but damn is it an expensive hobby sometimes. But in the end its worth it. (Keeps me outa trouble for the most part)...........
