I understand wishing we had McGee. I had an uneasy feeling about gs signing him even though I didn't think he was a fit for the Cavs. He has never shown a head that was ready for the bright lights. Has he seen even a bit of pressure yet?

Gasol is going to get his third straight dunk off a Kawhi/Pau PnR with Javale being targeted and Mike Brown is going to call a timeout and his head is going to explode into a bag of potatoes while he's screaming at JaVale not showing hard enough at the top of the key.

I never said Griffin is impervious to criticism or scrutiny. I've said I would have done some things differently.

But that's a long ways from saying that pretty much anyone could have done the things Griffin has done as well or better, because, Lebron.

As for Lance... the guy gets hot from 3 point range for one game and people are jizzing all over themselves for him. GMAFB.

Yeah I disagree with this. If McGee is on the court in the finals, Frye absolutely can be on the floor against him.

Also, not calling Tristan a center at this point in his career seems really silly.

It's not quite the same story. Being offered the role of president is a promotion and a higher role than GM. And our assistant GM Trent Redden has made buzz around the league as well, so I wouldn't put it past Dan to try handing him the reigns.

I think Griffin is leaving. If he had no interest in the Orlando job he would have made it known to them through back channels already, and if he was a real priority to Dan he'd be signed already.
 
Griff seems like a guy that will let the season finish out then make it about him and what's next.

Dude is signing back. He brought the team the new trophy puzzle and enjoyed it. Now if he was distant and wasn't in the picture I'd think something is up and he's out. No reason to believe Griff won't be back here unless something this season rubbed him the wrong way completely. (Which could be)
 
Why would he want to stay? There is nothing for him to gain in here anymore. He has ripped the Cavs of assets, he has no assets to work with, other teams are getting stronger, lebron is getting older and you got that juggernaut of a team in GSW that keeps their players from 1-10 on a team friendly deals in order to be in contention for years.

Why would he stay here?

I believe he is going to stay though.
 
Take him. He's not the reason we get vets to sign for cheap. Lebron is. It doesn't take a genius to trade first round picks for older one way offensive players. Replaceable.

I believe he made some unfavourable trades that we ended up with the shorter end of the stick, but he is the perfect man for the job right now.
He wasn't at the time, but he is now. He is one of the most likable GMs around and that's going to prove valuable when we are completely dried of assets. He is a positive guy and is a yang to this manic depressive team.
Also, he needs to see the witness the god that is Cedi Osman.. /s.
