Tennis elbow. I can't do a single exercise. I really don't want to stop this cycle a few weeks in.

Advice?

Fucking bitch doctor wouldn't give me a cortisone shot. Unbelievable.

She kept asking why I'm trying to gain weight. Like what? Why are you fat? What kind of question is that? "why are you exercising?" why are you not?

I look like Allen Iverson. Ive got a knee brace, a compression sleeve and an arm brace. Doesn't hurt though. Ivr given myself a fake joint essentially.

194 with abs. Up 10 lbs in 4 week. 4 left.

So intermittent fasting isn't that bad! I just skip breakfast and start my 8 hour window with a late lunch. I don't do this 7 days a week, but whatever, it seems to be working.

I am still convinced that muscle building comes from hormones more than macros. I'm doing the fasting thing because it's supposed to increase testosterone levels, which should pack on muscle. I wouldn't be mad if I lost some fat too...

I just started a lifting phase after a starting-a-new-job-and-not-working-out-enough phase, so we'll see how the IF holds up to that. So far, so good.

Just read that with imf you typically eat 60-80% of what you normally would.

I can't see myself not eating for an entire day though and id be worried about muscle degradation

The little that I've read says that muscle degradation is bogus. I have no issues with being my own science and nutrition experiment to find out if it's true. I think it's mental that muscle will degrade...

The interesting shit is that due to hormones, teenagers can grow like a foot in a year. I went from a monkey to a gorilla from soph to jr year in HS. It's hormonal; or at least, that's the vibe that I'm on.

I also had been crushing protein, targeting 1g/lb, so roughly 185g for me. That's not that hard with protein shakes added, but now I think it's just about eating non-synthetic foods. I'll have a shake or bar because I want a chocolatey dessert, but I'm now of the belief that crushing a baked chicken on a bed of quinoa and kale >>> the protein "nutriotionism" equivalent.

Like I said, we'll see. I'm not really sold on anything besides the fact that you can't really eat enough veggies. The rest will just be a juggle of parsing through internet bullshit, exercise, what's fun, and what's functional for my schedule. This is the only place I post on this stuff, so I'll keep this thread updated from time-to-time.

Here's the thing - it's impossible to do credible research on diet because there are so many factors to control for which you realistically cant

Atm I'm of the belief that to maintain muscle lifting is the priority, but to gain you might need a little more protein. No idea how much. Rhino's are vegetarian and they're pretty big.

Only way to significantly alter your hormones is to get in the juice my dude!

Well I don't doubt that the juice will do the trick, but I want to hack my body to do it without actually supplementing with hormones or hormone precursors. I was reading yesterday this dude got his test tested and it was borderline low, he did IF and got it test tested again... lower! Then he got serious about vitamins & minerals that would boost test and fast forward... way higher test.

It was actually a brilliant idea - he even came up with something called Gorilla Butter made from Brazil Nuts and the vitamins and minerals that would boost test, and it was like peanut butter. He tested the marketing and it was great, then decided NOT to make it because too many brazil nuts can be unhealthy for some people. IDIOT.

Anyway the point that stood out to me, on the internet from one man's anecdotal experience mind you, is that hormones and hormonal regulation is complex. I'd argue you specifically could increase your T even more by supplementing your juice with a "more-than-just-macros" look into nutrition. It looks like vitamin D and zinc

Obviously all JMHO here. Like I said, I am no expert, just the lab rat.

Vitamin d is the next bcaa or fish oil. Doctor has my mom on it

Anyone use a trap/he's bar for deadlifts? Thinking about changing it up, different grip.

Just did squats for the first time ever.

Couple days later walking still sucks.

My bench is anout 1.5 times as much as my squat
