Dion Waiters

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Continue? Where is the first part?
Really? ill be glad to debate that Dion Waiters was as much a key to the OKC conference finals run and being up 3-1 as Delly was to the Cavs Championship run.

He's just a bonafide scrub

Every heat fan hates him but knows they need him for lottery pick

Dion shot selection( forcing shots or out of rhythm ) and willingness to extend the play with his passing as well as holding on to the ball too long has always been his shortcomings.

Get it right, Dion's poor shot selection extends to attempting layups and taking foul shots. You want him taking 17 shots? The only shots Dion should ever take is if the ball ends up in his hands when the shot clock would expire if he passes.

Dions jumper sweet spot is 15-19 feet this season. he is hitting 45% from that range so far.

He is only shooting 30% in the paint down 10% from last season and has been blocked 10 times.

he shoots within 5 feet as often as he does 15-24.

If Dion is dribbling he is either driving to the basket or taking the pull up Jumper. once he gets within 15 feet he is pretty much driving to the basket.

if we look at what he is doing this season

Dion's shooting drops dramatically if he shoots off the second dribble.

His role is a bit different this season than the last two but we only 12 games into the season

If Dion managed to keep himself on the court on a team that went to the conference finals

“He changed his game,” Thunder forward Nick Collison said. “When he got here, the ball would stop when he'd get it. By the end he was really good at shooting open shots or driving and moving it. He was one of our best two-way wing players. He did a good job for us.”

“I learned how to win,” Waiters told The Oklahoman on Friday about his time with the Thunder. “I pretty much learned everything I know from OKC.”

“At first, I was (disappointed) but then it was like … life goes on. Once the team was pretty much broken up, I kinda figured where it was going, so I just wanted to make the best decision for me. Not for money or things like that. I wanted to go somewhere I could have fun and try to prove myself.”

Dion has a leadership role in Miami and has been given more freedom than other coaches have allowed and he still is a gym rat putting in the work off the court.

I think we will see Dion Continue to evolve

You should focus on this, and then rethink this idea that he's some great shot creator.

He had a decent run in the playoffs with OKC. He's had other decent runs. These decent runs just so happen to be surrounded by larger, not so decent runs.

Lots of bad players have gotten big minutes on good teams. Let me show you the 2007 Cavs roster, for example. It happens.

Oklahoma City thought him so key to their run that they traded for Oladipo, extended him only the QO, which wasn't matched, and then later rescinded the offer and let him walk for absolutely nothing.

Mercy!!!!!!

Dion, you done fucked up. All you had to do in order to get a massive contract this off-season was just show any type of ability to be average, and you couldn't even do that. But ball hard, Dion Waiters, shitting on all those haters.

His offer was rescinded to ensure they could extend westbrook using cap space and be I the hunt for a top free agent in 2017. it was a business decision
