How do I put him on IR and pick up another player. They want me to replace a player if I pick one up.

There is a link titled Manage IR on the menu bar. Choose that and put him in the IR slot. Then find a guy from the waiver list and don't check off any boxes. He should be put in the reserve section calle pending moves.
