Draymond Green’s 2nd Suspension Safari

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I hope we go at him every. single. possession. Just like OKC did. Have Delly do his little snuggle move or whatever he kept doing to Lowry. Just make him so angry.
This is the one guy that I could see really getting under Green's skin naturally.

Agreed. U can tell he drives curry insane when he is draped all over him. Might as well try it with Green, think he's got a much shorter fuse

Don't know the validity, but...

When Draymond Green was suspended for Game 5 of the NBA Finals, there was no shortage of outrage. There were conspiracy theories. The Golden State Warriors were not thrilled that the Cleveland Cavaliers lobbied for it. This was the heart and soul of the Warriors, the guy who holds them together on both ends, their plus-minus megastar, and they had a chance to clinch a second straight title.

Imagine if he was suspended for two games.

According to ESPN's Zach Lowe, that is the outcome the Cavs pushed for.

"I'll tell you, the Cavs wanted him suspended for two games," Lowe said on The Lowe Post podcast (6:38). "I can tell you that. They wanted it to be a flagrant-2 and to have him suspended for Game 5 and Game 6."

All of that noise about the suspension would have been 10 times louder if Green was out for two games, and rightfully so. A one-game suspension is series-changing, anyway, and if the play that triggered the suspension -- a "retaliatory swipe of his hand to the groin" of LeBron James -- was a borderline flagrant foul.

There will continue to be debate about whether or not the league got it right, especially if the Cavaliers force a Game 7. If it had given Green a flagrant-2, however, it would have been extremely wrong.

Draymond Green will not get another flagrant foul or two technicals.

Two would have been great, but one was the right call. The difference in the two being the amount of contact. Flagrant one is unnecessary contact, and Flagrant two is excessive and unnecessary contact. Had he gotten a kick in, it would have been a Flagrant two.

Yea, we had to ask for a 2 game suspension to get a one game suspension. We had to over ask because we know they would under deliver.

I love how the Warriors/fans/media is mad about it. Like, maybe Draymond should be held responsible? Maybe if he didn't keep hitting people, he wouldn't get suspended? Like this is some big injustice after what he gets away with game in and game out.

I'd have understood if a guy had been suspended for an entire YEAR if he'd on MULTIPLE occasions intentionally punched or kicked other players in their penises.

Draymond Green is becoming known as a player who intentionally hits other players in their genitalia. Think about that for a second. He's done it on purpose...multiple times...on national TV...in the playoffs.

I mean, why is this being defended? I'm still not understanding how this is just becoming part of sports.

"Two games wouldn't have been the right call..."

FOH man.

This gets the shit kicked out of people at gyms/parks/streets/whatever the fuck you want to call it.

When's the last time an adult male hit you in the dick?

At least what I am gathering from the warped senses of the media is that LBJ "baited" him into it. Hell, I heard on sports radio in St. Louis, that it's all LBJ's fault and Green reacted like any other man would if someone disrespected him by walking over him.

I've been there. Everyone laughing, high fives and having good time and guy gets knock on the ground throws a shot to the groin and even the guys that didn't have their penis violated are beating his ass. All for breaking up 3 on 1 but some places you just don't go

Bigfoot is right from a rule stand point but in the real world that's never going to end well
