Dwyane Wade: Back to Riley (#CavsLifer)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
No. The Bradley Center is no longer going to be the Bucks' home. They're opening a new arena next season.

Which changes the topic to how much $$ would it take to keep him next season if LeBron stays?

Might be his last year. Was talking about it maybe being his last trip to Milwaukee the other night...

Next to nothing. If we somehow manage to win a championship this year, Wade will re-up for the minimum again.
I could see it if he can kinda unofficially get word from Miami they'll treat him to a fat ass one year retirement tour contract to facilitate a full rebuild a la Kobe. That was brilliant on the Lakers' part btw. Just let Kobe chuck you to a high pick and call it a retirement tour and still look like they take care of their players.

Otherwise I'd think with his pedigree and how well he'll show up in the playoffs if he's healthy he's guaranteed to get 10 mil+ offers. I hope he does stick for the MLE though. That would be a godsend. Especially because LeBron's guaranteed to retire here at that point.

DWade has way too much class and self-awareness to embarrass himself with a Kobe-style chuckers tour. Personally I think he'll be back, barring injury.

P.S. Going back and reading the articles on Kobe's last season is like eating little fluffy angel-food cupcakes with pink marshmallows on top, it makes me want to puke. But good point, it was a less obvious way to tank than sitting your best players, and arguably even giving the fans the show they wanted.

Can you see the unnecessary push from TT? Could Easily destroy the whole thing. This is what separates smart players from not so smart... Just one play, but...it piles up.

He fouls on every screen he sets too. He is just trying to be helpful to the team because he can no longer rebound like he did and him trying to set good screens and rebound the ball are his only calling for this team.

I always thought his offensive rebounds were kind of fouls to begin with, he had always pushed players off their spots with his hands... same with his screens.

After tonight’s game I am 100% behind the IT/Wade starting backcourt. They were way too much for Portland to deal with.

Also do understand not, though, and adding IT to the “bench mob” to begin second quarters. He would start, leave before LeBron, and return with Wade+co to start the second quarter. Either way, I’m fucking stoked.

Same. I vote for option B and let he and Wade just crucify most second teams. But JR is so bad now that I think everything is on the table.

It’s funny I was telling all my friends before the offseason even started that I had a serious feeling that wade was gonna come join us after I saw he didn’t fit in with Chicago and they gave me soooo much shit for it saying I was crazy and why would we even want him now at his age if we could get him? I don’t think they understood that the reason I wanted him so bad wasn’t cuz of his current skill set, which certainly isn’t all washed up, but because he was the best running mate lebron has ever had and he knows him better than anyone.. he makes him more comfortable and happy.. and a happier lebron = a better lebron.. so glad I was right!
