ECF Game 4 | Celtics @ Cavs | Cavs lead 2-1| May 23, 2017

When does MODERATION become MEDIATION? Like, when does a factor or variable go from MODERATING the effect of x on y to LARGELY ACCOUNTING for the effect of x on y? Where is the line? Is there a statistical test that delineates moderation from mediation?

Normally when correlation > .5, assuming of course that there is no multicollinearity among x, y, and your unnamed independent variable.

They need to come out guns ablazing in game 5 because you know Boston will. Don't give that team life. Play the first three quarters the way they did the second half tonight.

Happy we pulled it out but regardless of shots 7 points from the bench isn't going to cut it

It will if the Big 3 play like that and everyone plays defense, which nearly everyone did.

There's a lot of ways to win games. All that matters is that you win.

Maybe the bench comes out next game in full force and picks up slack for Love or Kyrie. Either way...it worked.

:chuckle:

Is this your homework? PM me if you need detailed help like this, but to answer your can use a several stage regression model to for moderation and mediation analysis.

To be fair I think you meant play the first four quarters the way they did the second half tonight because in game 3 you guys were up by 20 and lost the game in the 4th quarter.

OK, I've gotta ask... the Celtics come back from a 21 point deficit, and Barkley is practically blowing his load talking to Jerebko.

The Cavs come back from 16 down, and all the crew wants to ask Love is, "why is Boston good now? Do you not respect them?"

They're a Fucking NBA team. Jesus.

Nah, they only played 2 and a half quarters. Stopped playing at the 6.5 minute mark of the third.

But yes, four quarters would be ideal.

yup. it's no longer acceptable to have a competitive game in the ECF

but analysts keep telling us everything is normal, the league has always been like this and KD didn't destroy the competitive balance of the league

@Czvosec - I have to say that I find your negativity and concern most refreshing. And I mean that in the best possible way...
