One plus is he seems pretty comfortable bashing moon shots at home with only a half full stadium.........Progressive should be an easy transition.

Come on, you guys laughed. :chuckle:

Yep, as Bimbo said.

Free agency 2018 is loaded.

Draft class of 2017 is solid, actually probably trends pretty good IMO.

And if we lose Santana next year, we get a 2018 pick?

So while we presumably would be drafting late in the 1st, we'd have 4 relatively high picks(1st, pick for losing Santana, 2nd, comfort balance pick) that draft?

Sounds about right.

1st round compensation for lost FAs ends after this year. Indians will get a sandwich pick between 2nd/3rd round for Santana.

Not entirely correct. Depends on who signs him.

Luxury tax team is 2nd and 5th highest picks.

Revenue sharing payee is 2nd highest pick.

All others is 2nd highest pick as well.

No longer attached to specific rounds.

That's not very nice. Some of us* here are very ugly.

*not me. I once scored an 8.7 on hotornot.com

i had a 9.2, but it may have been the dolphin in the picture...

wait i probably shouldnt post this...

EE's agent on Power Alley via SiruisXM "I was at Six Flags with my grandkids riding rides and finalizing the deal, even on the actual ride itself"

"Chris made EE to be very important to Cleveland"

"Chris made it very obvious EE was wanted"

"They were very creative in their deal and sweetened it, I can't really go into it" -probably incentives based. Hats off to the brass here.

"EE is comfortable with the city of Cleveland, and the players of the Indians, it's not always about dollar signs." -he was describing Latin players amongst other Latin players.

"Terry called EE himself and it meant ALOT"

"EE had Indians over for dinner during playoffs" -it's like it was meant to happen.

"Athletics were very close to getting EE's services"

We beat out Billy freaking Beane.

A's had everything in that contract for a player to love, and Indians beat them out.

Hahaha Toronto fans are crying.

"It's disgusting, EE was a great citizen, the team that beat us in the ALCS just stole our best player"

He took Durant's approach: if you can't beat them, join them!

We have an attendance thread now, so take that conversation there.
