Elite 8

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Woah there speed racer, calm down.

What I am saying, is a Confrence Championship is good, but winning one is something that 32 other teams experience, its not something as exclusive as winning a NCAA Tournament.

Actually I kinda agree with James here. Who in 20 years is going to remember who won in each of the conferance? Answer: not a lot

who will remember who won the national championship: A lot more then remember who won their conferances.

Well, I have one Final Four team right so far..I correctly predicted UCLA would beat Kansas..Thanks a lot Acie Law IV for missing that layup, cuz I had A&M in the Final Four..I hope that didn't screw up my bracket too bad...

I had A&M winning it all dude, think how I feel lol.

If UNC and UF win today I'll have my final 4 in it. (Still rooting for Oregon though).

LBJalltheway obviously a national championship is more important. You will remember one for the rest of your life if you get the chance to live through one or allready have. Saying a conference title is useless is going a little far.

I'm sure conference championships matter to the players.

Woo.

Ummm, they do hang banners in the gym. Every time I go to a game I always look at all the banners and remember.

And winning the Big Ten isn't just like winning the conference in all 32 of the other conferences. All conferences were not created equal, obviously.

James, please stop with the antagonizing. It's getting ridiculous. You try so hard to find bad things to say about Ohio State that you're now resorting to "winning your conference means nothing", "if you don't win the title your season sucked" (which means that only one team each year has a good year), and "the refs gave you the game" (when it was a 16 point game). These are outlandish statements, and they've totally derailed this thread. How much discussion of the game has actually occurred? It's like 1 post in 10. The other 9 posts are James vs Buckeye fans.

I would so love for once to come to this board and see a thread with 3 new pages, and to find that those pages actually contain intelligent discussion of Buckeye based topics.

I'm going to ask you again James, please stop. You don't care about Buckeye sports anyway, so it shouldn't be a big deal for you to hold your tongue. If you feel the need to blast the Buckeyes, please take it to EAYOR where you can flame away.

Can anyone tell me who won the Big East tournament in 2003?? It was Pittsburgh. I bet none of you knew that off the top of your head, can someone tell me what Big East team won the Tournament in 2003?? I'm sure that answer will be able to roll right off the tip of your tongue.

People complain when i dont say anything in here, and people complain when i do, figure out what the hell you want.

James conference to conference is different. There's so much riding on a Mac champ than their is a mid-west champ. They are not equal.

I'd rather complain when you don't say anything than when you do.

Wow, someone actually complained when you didn't say anything? I mean, no offense, but you're not exactly loved in this forum.

That would be A, since I read every one of those lines.
Dorsey on Oden:

1. Oden is overrated.
2. Dorsey will be Goliath, not Oden.
3. Dorsey will get 20 rebounds.
4. Oden is not physical.

Watch the game, the announcers even talked on all 4 points of what he said in the first half, and went into detail on the Bible quote.
Yeah, pretty funny stuff. As it turned out, B was the most accurate: Oden killed Dorsey, just like David smashed Goliath's skull. It's ironic, b/c Dorsey was trying to talk trash, likely didn't realize what he was saying, and what he said came true. Basically, he said he would be the guy who lost and Oden the guy who won. Not only did Oden's team win, but 17 pts and 9 rebounds vs 0 points and 3 rebounds: head to head it wasn't even close. Those numbers don't reflect his defensive presence either. I would like to know what the +- was for when Oden was on the floor. The Buckeyes were sooooo much better when he was out there.

I love the way Oden dunks:

Yeah I was thinking about that. I love it, but when he does that then twists his legs he may get called.
