FANTASY FOOTBALL 2017

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Golden Tate was a good value in the 6th round. #1 WR in Det and finished last year strong.

Maclin was available late, this guy has been good in the past and #1 WR for Ravens. I think Maclin's targets will go up making him less TD dependent.

None of you guys will admit you are wrong on Buck Allen.

60 is incredible value. I got him at #30 followed by Hunt being #31. I took Crabtree (#12th WR) over Pryor and Jeffery which was the highest ranked WRs on board. I'm appalled by the 60th slot. I'm in a hPPR though, but shit 60!!!? That's a bargain. Who knows, i probably reached for him, but only because I factored in Carr growing and still loving Crabs.

I'd lean towards Watkins on the heavy side, Hilton could sneak double digits vs the Browns though which is realistic and worrisome on who exactly to play.

Yeah, the drafts in this league are always kind of weird because of zero PPR and six points for QB touchdowns. A lot of QBs go high due to the six point touchdowns, which seriously inflates the value of the top guys like Brady and Rodgers. It's basically a league ran by QBs and RBs. Seven RBs went in the first round. Thirteen were off the board by the end of round two.

I laughed at the guy who picked McCaffrey in round two, though. I like Caff a lot as a prospect, but how do you justify drafting him over Hunt in redraft this year? He also got picked over Fournette, which is dumb. Hunt and Fournette are both much better rookie RB choices in redraft that McCaffrey. This is a Charlotte-based league, though, so Panthers players tend to get overdrafted every year. I'm one of the only people in the league who isn't a Panthers fan.

Yeah, Hilton could do well against the Browns, but it's just impossible to trust him without Luck throwing the ball. I could see Watkins going off tonight on a bad Niners team. I am probably gonna go with him and hope for the best. I had the highest score in the league last week with Coleman giving me a zero as my WR2. If Watkins can get me at least five points, I'll be happy.

Holy shit...McCaffrey in the 2nd...in a non-PPR league? Yikes.

Yup. Told the guy it was a mistake at the time. McCaffrey is just not a great pick in redraft leagues, especially that high, and especially non-PPR. I wasn't targeting him in any redraft leagues, as his price was always higher than the production I was expecting from him this year. Stewart is still a perfectly capable RB, and he's going to keep getting touches.

The guy who drafted him that high has about a hundred less points than my team through two weeks. Imagine if he'd taken Hunt there instead. His team would have gone from scoring 147 points through two weeks to 202. Would have made him the third or fourth highest scoring team in the league, depending on who I'd ended up with instead.

The key to fantasy sports, IMO, is always looking for consistent, high floor players. Guys who aren't depending on TDs to put up a high number of points...I always view TDs as bonuses, not a major value point, and that's led to a lot of success for me in my league.

But McCaffrey is only that in PPR leagues, since he is a lock to get you 2-4+ points every week on catches alone, depending on your scoring...but without that, you're talking about a backup RB who is TD dependent with a low floor...crazy that someone would take him that high in that kind of scoring, especially in a re-draft league.

I think in redraft especially you want to avoid drafting guys in the first several rounds that have low floors. You need to use those top picks on guys that you know will produce, or at least guys that you can reasonably expect to produce like Hunt, who found his way into the starter job due to injury. Obviously injuries can and will fuck you, but that's largely out of your control so it's something you can't really worry about.

If you're going to take chances on guys, it should be in the later rounds, and it should only be on a couple of guys (depending on league size). You need to have a couple of guys on your bench that you can reasonable expect decent bye week points from, and to account for injuries.

Jordan Howard was thought to be high floor. However Cohen emerging has limited Howard's value.

Mixon was thought to be high floor but the coach is allowing the veterans a role.

I agree you want high floor guys that are worth the particular pick.

Would just like to say Powell is looking like a god awful draft pick

I don't think Mixon was high floor at all. He's a rookie stepping into a crowded situation on a team with a terrible offensive line. That said, I do think Mixon will be a solid fantasy play by the end of the season. But anyone who started him in week one should have seen that low score coming.

As for Jordan Howard, you just need to know what he is. Howard is a grinder. He's not a pass catcher at all. He's playing on a team that is undoubtedly going to be absolutely terrible, which means more negative game script, which means more passing. He'll be a valuable play in competitive games, but how many of those will the Bears have this year? If the Bears are getting blown out, he'll barely see the field.

He's still hanging on to my roster.... for now.....

Not for long I don't think though. Maybe a week. Are the Jets that dumb?

They're doing a 3 running back by committee. So yes, yes they are.

Running backs I have are Demarco Murray, Crow, Ingram, Powell, and Chris Johnson. I think I might be fucked since the people in my main league don't like trading..or the ones that do over value their players like a mother fucker

Powell was a monster at the end of last year.

So maybe they're doing it for the Tank cause. But my god. He's easily the most talented back there.

Mixon as a high floor guy is laughable.

He's a rookie RB who can't pass pro, of course he wasn't going to be a high floor RB1...he's just not going to get the snaps...oh, he also has 2 other RBs who have been RB1s before eating his touches...ridiculous to think he is a "high floor" player.

And to add to Howard...he's been hurt since training camp and had eye surgery...I didn't want to touch him with a 10 foot pole for where he was getting drafted in drafts this year.
