FANTASY FOOTBALL 2017

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Mixon as a high floor guy is laughable.

He's a rookie RB who can't pass pro, of course he wasn't going to be a high floor RB1...he's just not going to get the snaps...oh, he also has 2 other RBs who have been RB1s before eating his touches...ridiculous to think he is a "high floor" player.

And to add to Howard...he's been hurt since training camp and had eye surgery...I didn't want to touch him with a 10 foot pole for where he was getting drafted in drafts this year.

I think what I was trying to say about Mixon is that he was considered a good pick in around the 5th around because of his upside. Some people thought that there was no way Giovanni and Hill could get work over Mixon because Mixon is clearly the best talent. They thought Mixon would be the main RB quick.

Mixon is a high celing, low floor guy. He could pay dividends later this season if he takes over that backfield, but we're seeing his floor right now, and it's low. The problem is that you can't be using a third or fourth round pick on a guy who might become an RB1 by the end of the year. That's a bad use of a high pick.

And yeah, I don't own Howard in any league. Just not a huge fan of him. I try to stay away from RBs in offenses with so many question marks. Howard felt like Gurley last year. Bad offense. Question marks at quarterback. Lots of negative game script. Gurley was further hampered by the fact that his coach was offensively inept. That's why I was targeting him this season. Figured he was talented enough to bounce back with a coach who was competent on the offensive side of the ball.

I do think that Howard can at least be useful this year, but his usage will depend far too heavily on the Bears staying in games for my liking. In close games, he'll probably usually give solid production.

Yeah...upside would have been fine, if that's what you had said.

But acting like he was a high floor player before the season is a little ridiculous.

His value will come towards the 2nd half of the season, when they realize he is their future at the position and they throw him into the fire, especially if they fall out of the race for a playoff spot.

But on a team you could see terrible line play coming from from a mile away with who they lost in free agency, it would be ridiculous to expect a rookie, who was noted as needing work in pass pro, stepping in and seeing high snap and touch counts.

Well, Watkins has given me three points in standard scoring thus far. Even if that's all he gives, I'll take it I guess. Better than the goose egg I got from Coleman last week.

I got Zuerlein. Need those FGs. I drafted Vinateri and picked up Zuerlein.

Got 55 out of Gurley, Watkins, and the Rams' defense in standard scoring. Pretty solid night.

Only downside is that I'm facing Rodgers against the Bengals and it's six points for QB touchdowns, so he could drag the other team back into it.

Dammit. Benching Watkins could cause me two losses this week.

Imagine facing a guy who played Gurley and Watkins. You are probably going to lose.

Not sure who your other WRs are, but there has been no indication prior to yesterday that Watkins was startable in any format.

Oh I know. He's like my 4th WR (5th after he was sucking) and I have RB's who were a better flex play too. But the Gurley/Watkins combo would have put up like 76 points.

But it was good to see his targets increase. I drafted him with the hopes he would have a really good season and potentially be WR2/WR3 worthy in one league.

I run pretty thin on RB, and I was curious as to what you guys think I should do. Jordan Howard is currently questionable. Given his shit performance last week & injury, I am probably going to sit him.

My RBs consist of Howard, Hunt, Ingram & T. Coleman. I didn't feel comfortable slotting 3 of those 4 on Sunday, so I slid Garcon into the Flex last night and he gave me 14 pts. So on Sunday, Im waiting to see what happens with Howard, but I'm not sure if I should just start Ingram or Coleman if he cant play?

I fully disagree.

He had 5 targets early in week 1, game script completey destroyed that rythm with the Rams up like 30 the entire second half and fourth quarter.

Week 2 he had Norman shadow him often.

Watkins was due to break out. We know the talent is there. Goff is showing massive improvement as well.
