FANTASY FOOTBALL 2017

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Oh I know. He's like my 4th WR (5th after he was sucking) and I have RB's who were a better flex play too. But the Gurley/Watkins combo would have put up like 76 points.

But it was good to see his targets increase. I drafted him with the hopes he would have a really good season and potentially be WR2/WR3 worthy in one league.

Who are your other WR?

Who are your other WR?

In one league, Julio and Dez starting, then Crowder/Watkins/Marvin (the league I was referring to him as my 4th/5th WR). In the other league...crap I didn't pay attention enough...Hilton and Hopkins, and Marvin (way stronger in RB in this league). Though I should have a comfortable win anyways (even without Gurley's monster game I was projected to win by like 20, not that that means much).

Stupidly busy work week so I guess I just overlooked it.

Luck better get healthy.

I run pretty thin on RB, and I was curious as to what you guys think I should do. Jordan Howard is currently questionable. Given his shit performance last week & injury, I am probably going to sit him.

My RBs consist of Howard, Hunt, Ingram & T. Coleman. I didn't feel comfortable slotting 3 of those 4 on Sunday, so I slid Garcon into the Flex last night and he gave me 14 pts. So on Sunday, Im waiting to see what happens with Howard, but I'm not sure if I should just start Ingram or Coleman if he cant play?

I think people are not considering that Cohen is taking away from Jordan Howard. Yes Cohen can be on the field at the same time as a slot receiver but I think Cohen is getting snaps even if the Bears are not behind. People thought Howard would be a feature back but he is losing work to Cohen.

Hey @Cavs2018, could you give us a take on Cohen or Allen, you've been pretty silent on that regard.

As I've mentioned numerous times, the problem with Howard is that he's solely a grinder. He's not and probably will never be much of a pass catcher. This means that, if the Bears are down and have to air it out, he's likely not going to be in the game.

I don't even think Cohen is taking that much work from him. Cohen has had five and seven rushing attempts in the Bears' two games thus far and, outside of one big run, hasn't been particularly effective. He's done the bulk of his damage in the passing game, largely due to injuries to all the Bears' receivers. Howard had no problem getting a workload in game one when the Bears stayed in it. In game two, though, they were getting blown the fuck out, so Howard inevitably wasn't going to get a lot of work in that one.

I think one of the biggest mistakes people tend to make in fantasy football is letting the previous year's performance or injury dictate their thoughts on a player. Howard was great last year, so naturally people assumed he'd be the same guy this year. But the Bears' offensive line got worse and the team is actively tanking this season, which completely changes the outlook for a guy like Howard.

You saw it last year too with Jordy Nelson coming off the ACL tear. He fell in the draft as a result, then came back and showed why he still should have been a first round pick. We saw it with Gurley this year. He was bad last year, so people assumed he'd be bad this year too without considering that he has a new coach and a new system, along with stability at QB and some new passing weapons to open up the game.

I am not sure. Cohen might be used more as a receiver so he can stay on the field more. Buck Allen is tricky because who knows how much Terrence West will play.

I agree you have to look into the numbers rather than just the total fantasy points the player scored last year. I think most people don't put that much time into fantasy especially if they aren't playing for big money.

You can field a pretty good team by just drafting from a good ranking list like fantasypros.

Who would win in a fight, Floyd Mayweather or Buck Allen?

To the Mortal Kombat avatar guy I will drink your milkshake.

First world FF problems...I'm in a small, ppr, keeper league...

I need to start 1WR and 2 Flex out of this group:

Derrick Henry
Michael Thomas
Deandre Hopkins
Tyreke Hill

James White

Right now, I have the bolded starting.

Those are the three.

Do you guys think 6 teams out of 10 making the playoffs is too much? While it gives the 5th and 6th seed teams a chance to extend their season I feel making the playoffs should not be easy.

Right about now at 0-2 you should be glad six teams make the playoffs. :chuckle:

I am starting Buck Allen and Fournette. I also picked Ravens to win in Survival football. I think it will be tough for the two RBs to have good games and for the Ravens to win.
