Fantasy Football 2018

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Need a bit of advice for a flex play in my ESPN league (PPR):

Current starters:

QB - Pat Mahomes
RB - Zeke Elliott
RB - Tevin Coleman
WR - Tyreek Hill
WR - Nelson Agohlor
FLEX -
K - Prater
DEF - Vikes

I have Mark Ingram on my bench to slot in as soon as his suspension is over, and I drafted Derrick Henry in like the fourth or fifth round to be my RB2 and eventually my full-time flex, but he's been pretty awful and now he's questionable to play this weekend.

I've got Calvin Ridley, Anthony Miller, Robby Anderson, and Tyler Boyd on my bench as well. Top waiver RBs are Jamaal Williams and Rashaad Penny.

I just need a flex stopgap for the next two weeks and then I can slot Ingram in and move Coleman back to my flex. Any advice?

Who are the top WRs on waivers?

Boyd for me, he has three less targets than AJ Green.

Taylor Gabriel, Tedd Ginn, and Willie Snead. It's pretty bleak. I just added Boyd and Ridley today.
Is it a keeper league? If not, you should try and get replace some of those rookies.

Nah it's not a keeper league - I tried to get these guys to vote for a three-man keeper since I'm co-commish but they're all too soft. :chuckle:

Tyler Boyd is developing. They use him as a move slot receiver with plus size for the position, and he can run after the catch.

I would have gone for Jamaal Williams because the season is young. Penny is overweight and I avoided him like the clap.

With Aaron Jones back this week it's hard for me to get too jazzed about Williams now. That whole Green Bay backfield is going to be a mess, and Williams just isn't very good. I hated him as a prospect coming into the league and all he's done is pretty much verify why.

He's a guy who hasn't been particularly good thus far this season and whose stock is only lowering with Jones, a superior player and, in my opinion, better prospect, coming back.

I took the old cotton swab to the fantasy dick and turns out I'm stuck with the clap. Would you drop Penny for Peyton Barber? Lost McKinnon and looking for an RB2. Have Tevin Coleman slotted there while Freeman is out. Bench is short and Penny is the most logical cut. Thoughts?

Edit: Standard league

I'm an unabashed Peyton Barber supporter, took him in both my leagues. I drafted him to be my third back in both leagues and he looks right now like a fourth back. I think as the weather changes he will rack up some stats. TB has a beast young OC.

How was McKinnon your RB2 in a standard scoring league? Did you just punt on RB? I always try to go RB heavy in standard because RBs tend to carry the water more consistently from week to week and that's important when you're not getting bonus points for reception volume.

Got caught on the wrong end of a massive RB run. Went Melvin in round 1, then Julio and TY in rounds 2&3. By the time it swung back to me in round 4, I was looking at McKinnon, Shady, and Royce Freeman. Pretty much a no win situation there. First year playing in my work league, so I didn't know how the draft would go. Took a few later round RB flyers which haven't panned out.

Working on a few trades too, have Josh Gordon and Edelman on my bench and don't want to roster both. Hoping to get some value before Josh plays.

Yeah, I'd probably be trying to sell Gordon right now too. The history of WRs in fantasy who change teams after the season starts isn't terribly encouraging. Granted, all Gordon really has to do is run down the field in a straight line, but still...hard to trust him and there's a ton of "he went to the Pats" hype.

Man, looking back at my 12-team, standard scoring (six points for QB touchdowns) league draft is awesome.

9 - Leonard Fournette
16 - Christian McCaffrey
33 - TY Hilton
40 - Amari Cooper
57 - Dion Lewis
64 - Sony Michel
81 - Patrick Mohomes
88 - Adrian Peterson
105 - Robby Anderson
112 - Matt Breida
129 - Tyler Lockett
136 - Chris Godwin
153 - Aaron Jones
160 - Benjamin Watson
177 - Will Lutz
184 - Bengals

Feel pretty goddamn good about that one after week two. Also, I was one pick away from getting Adam Thielen instead of Amari Cooper, but he got sniped the pick ahead of me.

Evan Engram against the Texans or George Kittle against the Chiefs?

Edit: I should add that OJ Howard and Will Dissly are both available to pick up as well.
