Fantasy Football 2018

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Evan Engram against the Texans or George Kittle against the Chiefs?

Edit: I should add that OJ Howard and Will Dissly are both available to pick up as well.

I'd play Kittle. Niners finally face a weak pass defense, receivers are dinged up.

Kirk Cousins. Wow.

Looks like it's going to be an 0for day in DFS this week

RIP Jimmy Garoppolo era. Week 1 - Week 3.

He opens himself up to a lot of hits because he holds onto the ball longer than he should. Let's see how severe this knee injury is going to be. BTW, his backup Beathard had a brutal preseason.

Shanny just said the team thinks it's an ACL tear, but won't know for sure until the MRI. I'm guessing he's done for the year, though. Non-contact + cart-off usually means that.

Out of 100 participants, there are 3 left (4 if New England wins) in my Survivor Pool after that Minnesota beatdown (and Jax loss).

That's crazy. I had a plan for the season, but now I may alter it and just go for the best play each week. Of course, that's the strategy that knocked out 60 people with NO week 1 and 27 more picking MIN this week!

I lead my 12-team/PPR league in points and am 3-0.

My team:

Matt Ryan
Michael Thomas
Julio Jones
Will Fuller
Dion Lewis
Jarv Allen
Kelce
Geranimo allison

Bench

Rivers
Ingram
Aaron jones
Joe mixon
Jesse james

Prater

GB defense (changing this lulz)

Was looking at trading a QB for RB help. Would I be better off just waiting to see if Jones or Ingram catches on? Both my QBs are on the same bye week... my bad... but I still enjoy having both on my roster to play matchups every week.

I think I'd just make due for one more week and wait for Ingram to come back, Mixon to come back, and for Jones to steal that job before I downgraded at receiver.

The Thomas/Julio pairing is potentially a league winner, but after that, you're fairly thin and would be putting yourself dangerously thin at receiver if you were to deal for the interim.

Especially if you're already 3-0, you bought yourself the time.

If anything, I'd go the other way. See if you could maybe float an Allison/Jones or Fuller/Jones combo offer to see if you can upgrade that WR3 spot a little.

All right. Fuller has been great, though. 20 plus last two weeks. Outperformed Julio both weeks. He’d be the one I’d part with if I had to. But yea I know Im in a pretty good spot and should probably just wait. Just never satisfied standing pat.

Need about 3 catches and 25 yards from OJ Howard tonight. Hopefully he shows up after having a monster game last week.

Made a trade in my money dynasty league. 10-team, .5 PPR, 1QB/2RB/2WR/1TE/1FLEX/1K/1DL/1DB/1LB

I give: Devonta Freeman, Will Dissly
I get: Nick Chubb, David Njoku, 2019 3rd

Been looking to trade Freeman for a while now and Freeman is currently my RB5, so I figured it made sense to swap him for some youth. Chubb's a play for next year and beyond and I think Njoku is about to have his breakout party with Baker under center. TE is also my biggest need, as I've got Walker and Henry out for the season and Engram not inspiring confidence with his inconsistent play. I've also got Jesse James, who I'm starting this week, but who knows how long that bubble is gonna last before it bursts? Njoku gives me long-term security at the position and I should have a pretty solid young TE group next year with Njoku, Henry, and Engram.

Dissly was just a throw-in in the trade. He's the guy I would have cut to make room for the two new guys coming in.

Roster post-trade:

QB - Rodgers, Stafford, Mayfield
RB - Gordon, Barkley, DJ, Breida, Duke, Gio, Burkhead, Chubb
WR - Hopkins, Thielen, Allen, Funchess, Enunwa, Godwin, Boyd, Davis, Mike Williams, Wilson, Doctson, Miller, Watson
TE - Engram, Njoku, James, Henry (IR), Walker (IR)
K - Gould (probably replacing him after Jimmy G's injury)
DL - Ogunjobi
DB - Landon Collins
LB - Zach Brown, Anthony Hitchens

Thoughts?

Good move IMO. I see Njoku as a top-7 TE by next season. Not sure how to project Chubb, but I think Freeman's best days are behind him, Dissly had a high "trade-now" value, and you get a third rounder.

I like it.

Yeah, it was a good trade for both teams. My buddy has two really good starting RBs (Gurley and Hunt) but no reliable back-ups. Meanwhile, I am stacked with starting RBs with Breida's emergence, and I agree that Freeman seems to be on a downward trajectory. He's still young enough, but his knee injuries are concerning to me, especially since he just reaggravated the one that hindered him last year apparently.

I feel like Freeman could easily come back and be a top fifteen or twenty back next year, but I'd rather get off the roller coaster since I'm not starting him anyway right now.

As for Chubb, he was my either my third or fourth favorite back from this draft for dynasty purposes (had him about equal talent-wise with Michel and behind Barkley and Guice). And he's looked great in his limited opportunities with the Browns thus far, which is promising. I also think the Browns probably move on from Hyde next year and go with the Chubb/Duke combo.

I wouldn’t trade Fuller, dude produces when Watson is in. I have him in one league and tried trading for him in another.
