Simon and Garfunkel are unlike anything we will ever hear again... the harmonies are amazing, yet the style will probably never be recognized as popular again. If you have heard their R&R HOF reunion, you know they are still drop-everything-and-listen good.

Here is my darkhorse:

It pops up in movie soundtracks, and has been stuck in my head for a week.
Sorry for the grave dig, but I think my favorite song of all time is from Simon and Garfunkel "The Boxer." Those two guys together were magic man. Honestly, it's a song I don't think I can ever get tired of listening to.

Also these, from the most underrated group of all time (and it's not even close) - it's just wrong that these post 70s songs aren't well known. The first song is just flat out brilliant songwriting (and I hate that the video version is an edit)

This song reminds me of my father who died when I was a young kid. He used to hit the heavy bag in the basement when I was a kid so the loud bangs in the song really bring back those memories of him. My dad also had a very difficult and lonely time growing up and boxing was an outlet for him, so you can see the connection.

It’s a beautiful song but it just brings memories of my dad flooding back so it’s kind of a tough one to listen to.

Would give 1000 "Like"s if I could. Probably my favorite rock n roll song of all time.

There was a time I was anti-Boston. I was wondering why a band only puts out one album every 6-8 years.

Then I found out the back story, and I have to say Tom Scholz, who recorded that amazing first album in his basement on a four track with Delp, didn't really want to be a contract band for a record company. He had his master's from MIT and wanted to make equipment, make real money. That changed my opinion of Boston's legacy vastly.

there's also the issue that many of their songs/albums sound pretty much the same. I was a big Boston fan - the first album was so unique sounding, but even after just the 2nd album, I would hear a song on the radio and not remember which album it was on. I didn't even realize until just now that they had albums after 3rd Stage
