Favorite Songs(Any Genre)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
there's also the issue that many of their songs/albums sound pretty much the same. I was a big Boston fan - the first album was so unique sounding, but even after just the 2nd album, I would hear a song on the radio and not remember which album it was on. I didn't even realize until just now that they had albums after the 3rd Stage album

Yep, Scholz really didn't give a shit about the band's legacy or his legacy as a rock musician. He made guitar pedals, his interest was in his scientific work and creating a new sound on the tech side. I'm not a big Boston fan, but I have grown to respect the fact he decided he would do what made him happy, and he was a financial success without playing the record company game.

Back to best songs of all time regardless of genre...

The Band gets better with age. I used to think they were a little too Confederate flag for my tastes, but they sang about a pastoral. It never became a defense of the South, just a beautiful pastoral for the southeast of the U.S. They did it right.

I rather like that.

My favorite song of the 2000s. Soundtrack of law school:

Rarely do bands debut fully formed and amazing. So many games of beer pong won over Marquette basketball players to this song. Amazing video too. Look at Brandon pretending he is straight.

Indeed, the entirety of Hot Fuss is a masterpiece. Some deride Sam's Town but it is also fantastic. Greatest 1-2 debut since Pet Shop Boys' Please and Actually.

But maybe my second favorite Killers song:

Some great stuff listed so far by everyone. I have way too many to list all of my personal favorites, especially rock and popular music from the 70s, 80s and 90s. So here's a sampling of some of my all-time favorites from the less popular and miscellaneous genres. I'm sure these are going to surprise a lot of you, and I guess that's a good thing. :)

Part I

Also these, from the most underrated group of all time (and it's not even close) - it's just wrong that these post 70s songs aren't well known. The first song is just flat out brilliant songwriting (and I hate that the video version is an edit)
