Woooooo! (channels Flair) That was just a gutsy balls-to-the-wall effort and I loved it. This team came out aggressive from the tip and even won the tip finally and it was so pleasing to the eyes. Setting records offensively, LBJ in attack mode from start to finish (another triple-double), Irving with a masterful 40, Smith with 15. Also nice contributions, aside from the offensive standpoint, from TT with 10 boards and RJ was scrambling and defending/hustling. Just a solid team effort and obviously this is just 1 win but this is the team I wanted to see from the start. I just hope Korver gets it going in game 5. This is something they can build upon and hopefully they play as aggressive moving forward.
Onto the Warriors/officiating side of things....
After Durant's 35, GS's leading scorer was Green with 16. With the amount of jawing that team does, even though its just 1 game, they need to back that shit up and they wilted under pressure. I love to see them struggle and frustrated and aside from the way the Cavs played the most pleasure I took from this was GS's struggles and attitude.
Now let's talk about the officiating. I am usually not one to think the referees dictate the tone but they did and tonight they showed CLEAR bias. JVG made the point that someone is lying when it comes to the technical debacle with Green. That first T was on Green and it was clear, that showed bias and the league needs to remove that ref from any more games this series and make him take a break into next season. Plus, how the fuck do you review a "flagrant" because KD cried and not review the Green on Shump incident? Kevin was going for the ball, Green deliberately hit Shump in the fucking head! Plus to not even review the Zaza thing is pure horse shit. He fucking punched Shump's groin. If the league doesn't do something and assess him a flagrant two this is sickening.
With the amount of positivity I take from this team effort I fucking hate we let game 3 slip away, this shit could be 2-2 now. But this is what it is, go out and force a game 6.
