finding defense at the C position

Consider moving KLove and Kaun to LAL for Hibbert, Nance Jr. and Randle.

Probably wouldn't work well, but it's somewhat of a curious case. Hibbert would've been "Z", Nance Jr. follows in his father's footsteps in Cleveland, and Randle becomes our younger Zach Randolph?

Riiiiiight :rolleyes2:

As an aside, I was hoping we would draft Hibbert over Hickson; he made me think of Z with the type of game he brought. Too bad it didn't work out, too bad.

We never had that option. He was picked 2 picks before we took Hickson.

What may prove more problematic for the Cavs is bypassing Nance, Jr. last year, who has already taken Randle's starting job with LAL. We will see.

Very happy Nance Jr. is finding success on the Lakers, and I'll be legit pissed if he isn't in the dunk contest. However, the Lakers are a young rebuilding team. It's the right place for him.

Me to since he had that "conflict" with Kobe VIA twitter. Like father like son in this situation. This is the homer in me however I would love to have him here.

A guy that I love that isn't even in the league: Jarvis Varnado

Before you laugh, I think this guy is seriously deserving of an NBA roster spot, and wouldn't be a bad fit on the Cavs. He's only 6 foot 9, but has a 7 foot 6 wingspan. Pretty sure he has the NCAA D-I record for blocks in a season, and averaged like 4.7 per game.

He played 23 games for Philly last year at 14.7 mpg with 1.3 bpg (=3.1 per 36)... Also looking into some advanced stats he was 3rd in the NBA in 2013-14 on block % (percentage of opponent 2 point field goal attempts blocked by the player while he was on the floor). The other four names in the top five: Cole Aldrich, Rudy Gobert, Anthony Davis, and Serge Ibaka.

He's super athletic as well... combine that with his size and you get the shot blocking numbers. He runs the floor well too, which seems to be a common denominator with bigs the Cavs have targeted in recent memory.

Can't really look at many of the opponent team stats with him in when he was with the 76ers imo. Most of his minutes came with either Brandon Davies and BJ Mullens as the other big lol.

Right now he's in Italy and playing in the Euroleague with teammates Joe Aleander and Christian Eyenga lol. Not sure what his contract situation is over there, but would expect him to be willing to sign a 10 day at least if able.

Joakim Noah is a free agent after this season. Should the Cavs pursue him in free agency?

I do have to point out Mozgov's advanced stats have been in a tailspin since I posted here. No idea if that has a correlation or causation with the Blatt drama.
