Free Agency Rumors

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm surprised Nate RObinson hasn't been picked up. Seemed like he had really put it together as a 6th man in Chicago during the playoffs. Loved his effort on D and ability to score quickly. Still too much of a ball stopper? Cavs don't need him, but someone should grab him.

He agreed to terms with the Nuggets: 2 years, $4 mil.

He is a nugget

More surprised Brandon Jennings is still a free-agent.

I would have expected him to be one of the first few players signed after Dwight Howard made his decision. I guess teams just realize he's not a winning point guard, but he's fun to watch.

I think Jennings wants too much money/years and isn't giving at all when it comes to it

Saw Jennings from the floor of the United Center once, and was the fastest human I have ever seen up close. Really blown away by his speed. After that 50 point game I thought he would be a force in the league, but it doesn't seem like he "gets it". It's a shame, he has lots of talent.

Should have done a google on Robinson. Should be awesome for the Nuggets.

Speaking of fastest players.. I swear, Rajon Rondo is lighting quick. I've watched him in person a few times and was pretty impressed with his quickness. Only saw Tony Parker in person once, and he's definitely one of the fastest I've ever seen, but Rondo blew me away when I watched him run down the court at full speed.

On the Brandon Jennings front, this was posted two days ago:
Bucks Turning Back To Jennings: The Milwaukee Bucks’ failed pursuit of Atlanta Hawks free agent Jeff Teague was in part about Teague as a player, but was also about cost. The Bucks’ offer to Teague was roughly $8 million per season or about $4 million less per year than incumbent guard Brandon Jennings is seeking. The Bucks felt Teague fit a little better and was surely a little cheaper, but sources close to the situation said that keeping Jennings was never off the table and with Atlanta matching Teague’s offer sheet, the Bucks will return their focus to trying to reach a deal with Jennings.

The Bucks issued Jennings a $4.53 million Qualifying Offer in order to make him a restricted free agent, so they have the right to match any offer he receives on the open market. Jennings could opt to take the one-year offer and become an unrestricted free agent next year, something his camp has hinted is a possibility if the right offer does not come his way.

The Bucks have been aggressive in trying to change the culture of their team, which is why they looked at changes at point guard and why they have made some of the free agent moves they have made this summer.

The acquisition of O.J. Mayo and Carlos Delfino were part of that character movement, as was the addition of Zaza Pachulia.

Most around the NBA scratched their heads at the three-year, $15 million deal the Bucks gave Pachulia, but sources close to the situation say Pachulia had received numerous two-year offers at $5 million per season and that it took the third year to get him to Milwaukee.

The Bucks view Pachulia as not only an effective enforcer, but also as a leader and role model for the Bucks’ emerging big men Larry Sanders, Ekpe Udoh and John Henson.

The Bucks believe they can reach a deal with Jennings, although it’s extremely clear that it will need to be on their terms and that may take some time to reach.

The Bucks still have roughly $19 million in usable cap space, but are expected to begin extension talks with Sanders and still have Jennings to deal with.

It just seems like he'll land back in Milwaukee. The Lakers are an interesting option, but if they went after Jennings it would likely cost them a chance at LeBron or Melo next off-season, something they probably won't do.

he seems like all of the bad qualities of Iverson and none of the good ones

From David Aldridge:

Dallas finalizes deal with F/C Brandan Wright for two years, $10M guaranteed, with an additional $1.1M in incentives, per agent Jim Tanner.

(I know Wright was more effective last year, but it still feels like the Mavs have overpaid in almost every case this off-season. Still shocked they didn't throw a guaranteed contract at Bynum.)

I have never seen anything like how fast iverson was when watching him in person. Just amazing.

One of these does not belong in this sentence.

You're right that Mayo isn't exactly a stabilizing presence in the locker room, but he is certainly talented and put together a fine season with Dallas and they got him for a decent (though not great) contract. If even marginally so, he's also a better fit with Jennings in their back court than Monta was and is an acquisition that I can't really fault given the direction they seem to be wanting to take their team.

If there is a team out there that will play him I think Ekpe Udoh could be decent get for cheap with the way they seem to be going with Sanders, Henson, Eryan, Zaza due for a bunch of PT this coming season.

The Bucks are like the modern day Clippers..

Easily one of if not the worst and most useless franchises in sports...

This Is why I am so thankful we have Grant and Gilbert at the helm. After three weak to average draft classes we maximized our talent from those drafts with a core that was good enouph to lure Jack and Bynum. We added In free agency this season and now we actually a three deep Guard rotation and a five deep Big rotation, now all the sudden we become an attractive place to play. We do not over pay or value so so players. I mean now we could have the team If we add one more true star or you know who we have the best team In the NBA and maybe a top team In history. We could have became the Bucks but smart men In the FO at least makes a team good or dies trying like Grant does. Even If were are an eight seed there Is hope for higher seeds In the future with the potential talent. Unlike what the Bucks and most teams did and do.
