I just don't feel like Weeden has progressed to where he can take over a game. Cousins took over this game, RG3 can, Russell Wilson is destroying today, Luck has a ton of game winning drives, I just don't think he's the guy to move forward with long term. All of the "he's ready because he's 29 and he played pro baseball" stuff is garbage he looks like the rawest most unready rookie QB out there. He has no poise or presence in the pocket, no touch, and he can't read a defense.

I think it's the other way around. Teams set out to stop our run game and force Weeden to make throws, but when he's checking down all day we can't get anything going. Such an abysmal game for him, he started off and never got it going apart from that one drive at the end of the half.

Finally another person sees what i have seen from the start...I believe we panicked into a QB and it just so happens with an unbelievable year for a QB class we just so happened to manage to possibly pick the worst one....:thumbdown

The run game isn't great but I mean honestly we abandoned it way too early. 2 carries for Trent in the 2nd half??? Disguise some runs, get some misdirection going, bring in some jumbo packages. There's no excuse for Weeden hitting defenders between their numbers, throwing behind WR's running slants, holding the ball too long, and overall having no feel of the game.

At least all that ridiculous playoff talk is done.

Hopefully, the ground swell to save Shurmur's job will recede and we will have a competent head coach next year. Someone who can put his players in positions to be successful. Running more no huddle since Weeden was excellent at it in college. Getting Travis Benjamin in space. Running an effective screen once per season so Richardson can do some damage without 8 guys hanging around his ankles.

I'm starting to believe this. He looks about as terrible from a game management standpoint as Mr. Durdur.

For the 2nd week in a row he was missing open guys, failing to give his playmakers a chance at catching the ball, etc. I expect a 29 year old rookie to progress a little quicker than I do a true fresman, for example, unless he just blows.

Nita Ashford, a Cleveland school teacher and a relative of Fletcher, told NewsChannel5 that her family was attacked by angry Browns fans as the family left Sunday's game. During the attack, Fletcher's aunt, 57-year-old-Evette Robinson, suffered a heart attack and was rushed to MetroHealth Medical Center, where her condition at this time is still unknown.

Weeden looked miserable today, but I can't help but think the play calling isn't helping his case. Seriously, how do you go away from your number 3 overall RB like that? 2 second half carries? What possible justification is there for that absolutely moronic strategy?

I can't remember the last time a loss sucked the life out of me like this. I'm usually pretty quick to shrug off a loss (probably because I've had plenty of practice) but I still feel like crap.

It was pretty admirable by Shannahan to actually make a quick adjustment to get Cousins rolling. Kinda disgusting how we made no adjustments of our own, which seems to be the norm. Ridiculous how quickly they abandoned the run even though they had the lead.
