Game 33: Pelicans @ Cavs, Monday, January 2, 2017, 7:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Well, the difference is Davis has made the playoffs, whereas Kyrie hadn't.

And tbh, we were trying to win that last season. We went out and paid big bucks for Jarret Jack who was coming off a great season. Traded for Luol Deng and Spencer Hawes. Like, we were trying to win.

The Pelicans are not.
I understand but.. He made the playoffs in his 3rd year and he had an all star alongside him in Jrue Holiday. Don't get me wrong Davis is better than Kyrie but one of these players had
-Jrue Holiday
-Eric Gordon
-Asik
-Tyreke Evans

..while the other had Waiters, Bennett and the corpse of Andrew Bynum. He's hailed as a superstar and hasn't come close to the playoffs since but he gets the benefit of the doubt. On the other hand Kyrie and Love were considered cancerous losers/stat padders

I lost 12 pounds in two awful, awful days in college due to what I assume was food poisoning. It was crazy, can't believe he played in a professional game.

I flew home to my brothers wedding the day after. It was awful, food poising is the flue on steroids. The fact he played is amazing.

Those that ask why is because he now has to work his way into shape and no time like the present.

The sharting himself might be funny, but is also really possibly what happened in the 4th.

Davis plays both ends of the floor though, defense is not something Kyrie ever has done other than in the playoffs, and Love never played D in Minnesota.

LOL at all the disrespect and shade people threw Love's way, when Love is twice the man any of those people will ever be.

People are way too quick to criticize.

Huh? Who was tossing shade? Love has been the man this year!

Is this just one of those posts?

I am all about Kay tonight. He impressed me with his aggressiveness and I can start to see what this organization saw in him to shell out the money. Of course a January game against the New Orleans Pelicans isn't much to get excited over but it was good to see the bench mob out there getting it done with 44 points.

There were people (including myself) talking about how Love was playing bad tonight, that's all.

I guess I can't understand the gripe because I haven't seen or heard anyone talking about Kyrie's lack of postseason play for a long, long time.

That would be because Kyrie’s postseason play the last two years has been stellar. I agree with you, no sane person would make that comparison in 2017.

Now a lot of the circumstances regarding the length of postseason play for Irving and Davis has to do with the teams they’re on and AD being the sole leader for his team, so it’s not exactly a fair comparison. But those are the breaks.
