Game 35 | Cavs (25-10) @ Kings (11-22) Wednesday, December 27, 2017 | 10:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
yes but this team needed HCA. "it's early" just doesn't mean much anymore thanks to that pussy out west. every single loss is magnified

Dude. You are on drugs if you think this team was ever going to get HCA. LeBron takes regular season games off. IT missed a big chunk. We have an older roster. We don't practice a lot because of it.

Please just let that go. We don't have the young horses to go balls out and win the 68 games its gonna take to get HCA. Just was never feasible. LeBron can win on the road.

HCA was and is never going to happen. The Dubs are playing at half speed and Stephen has been out for weeks, and they keep winning.

They will have HCA until they get crushed by serious injuries or break things up. LeBron just doesn't have the energy left in the tank to go balls to the wall for 82 games.

It'll be January in less than a week, and he'll be on a minute restriction anyway. Might as well start working him back now. He's ready.

And he might give you a spark on night's like tonight when LeBron doesn't give a shit.

Yeah, but this game doesn’t matter. January doesn’t matter. February doesn’t matter. March doesn’t matter.

Hell, if we’re being totally serious, the first two rounds of the playoffs genuinely don’t matter.

Isaiah could legit sit another two months for all I care. My guess is that he’ll only need about 10 games to get in basketball shape and fully integrate himself into what the Cavs want to do.

We’re still six months from the NBA finals.

What is he trying?

He tried to sub in TT earlier for Crowder and then use Crowder instead of Cedi to maintain the normal 2nd unit with Frye that people have been begging for. And Frye then got cooked worse than TT. Korver and Wade played like they were old playing a 10 PM game out West. Green shut his "good Jeff Green" brain off for the night. LeBron James spent more time on vetting the wine list for tomorrow rather than trying to win this game.

Sure. Ok.

Honest question:

Is home court advantage more important than integrating TT?

Because we had a legitimate shot at moving into the lead, and these recent losses are a big set back in that regard. I'd rather have the wins and leave TT rotting on the bench.

Honest answer: I don't believe this team ever had a shot at HCA, do I'm totally OK with Lue throwing shit against the wall to see what sticks.

I mean, if you can watch tonight's game and tell me TT playing is the reason they lost... I'd have to question whether you actually watched the game.

If we don't have HCA against the Warriors I would not bet against them. I'm finished hoping and wishing we can win without homecourt. They are just too good. It will take a miracle but we need HC if we want a serious chance. At this point hopefully Hou or OKC will take them out early.

Ok, big point.

34 games in and this team is 28th in defensive efficiency. They were really bad, then ok, now bad again.

But when we look at the whole and take the bigger sample size, they just fucking suck on that end and there's no shot in holy hell at winning a title with this defense.

He needs to get comfortable in the system. All the guys need to get used to playing with one another. Lue needs time to figure out rotations. I vehemently disagree with this idea that you can drop a major piece like IT into this mix and figure things out in ten games. Not if you want to actually have a shot in the postseason.

And considering they don't really practice, that familiarity can only happen during gameplay.

i know it's not happening now. i'm just saying, being in the east, if it's as bad as ppl say it is, it should have been possible. i don't know why else we'd play lebron so many minutes. if it's not possible, put him on a maintenance plan from game 1. HCA is the one thing that would have maybe tipped the scales slightly in our favor barring we have the same roster heading into the playoffs

TT is not directly to blame for tonight's loss. The whole team sucked.

However, if you don't think throwing our rotations completely out of wack doesn't effect our entire team's rhythm, then I don't think you know basketball.

I never said this, let alone intimated it, so I'm not sure how you jumped to that conclusion.

Yeah, it can throw off the rhythm, and maybe it did. But that doesn't excuse the effort they played with (or didn't play with).

You didn't say it. I did. And it's true.

You are dramatically overestimating how long it takes to figure these things out.

It’s just basketball. It’s not rocket science.

Thomas will return within the next 7-10 days and he’ll have six friggin months to integrate. My guess is that they’ll have it figured out in about 2 or 3 weeks, but you’re still going to see some shitty play at times because LeBron is a 15 year veteran and knows that this regular season shit ultimately doesn’t matter.
