Dude, there is no way we can get blown out on MLK Day by GS and then beat them in a 7 game series. Impossible!

All this game was is our pokerface.

With a LeBron grin of what's yet to come. Lue/staff wasn't about to dig in deep in the strategic part at all, that's all saved for June.

Pokerface.

We got poked in the face and butt. Simultaneously.

Does anyone think the Cavs gave any real effort tonight? This was a loss before they got off the bus...GS played like their lives depended on it ...we played like what time does our plane leave to get back home...this game means nothing long term....that said we still need a piece or two for the bench which is terrible right now

2. Korver is getting more comfortable, but he isn't fully on the same page with Kyrie and LBJ, it's so clear his talent isn't maximized yet. That can only improve.

I just don't want this to turn into a 2014-2015 Kevin Love situation. We got Korver for coming off the bench to provide a spark. The team shouldn't feel obligated to get him shots if it means forcing them. This is especially important for Kyrie.

Exactly. We've already spent far too much time trying to force feed Korver.

He's a role player coming off the bench. We shouldn't be running more than one or two plays specifically for him, max.

I am torn. The fan in me is disappointed it seems the Cavaliers didn't put that much effort into this contest but the realist in me is saying its a meaningless January game and it obviously means way more to the opponent than they care to outwardly show.

I usually post stats that amaze me or frighten me in my post-game posts but this was nothing more than the effort wasn't there.

I expect the media to go over board, I expect the Golden State "fans" to think they righted some wrong...I expect us here to be real and not put too much into this. The Cavaliers know they can beat the Warriors, the Dubs don't know they can beat the Cavs. It's that simple.

If the Warriors have to showboat and put this much effort into convincing themselves they can beat this team, the Cleveland Cavaliers already won.

The 2 best things that came out of this game seem to be green actually getting a flagrant called and kerr being forced to game plan for using mcgee. Thats alot of game tape for that adjustment that will be useful in game 1 of the finals

I'm not alarmed.

Angered. But not alarmed.

The Cavs had to face these guys after a long ass road trip, and I really believe LeBron. Lue weren't interested in tipping their hands to a perspective finals opponent.

There's three seasons for this team. There's this season. There's the post season, and then there's the Finals which is a completely different animal. I think by the time the "Finals" come around? It'll be different.

Now I will say I just want to see these assholes, their idiot fanbase and everything about them destroyed..but I'm a bit undsure how we go about doing that.

I do see some weakness within these guys, and their idiot fans.

I hate the sight of Draymond's face

No offense with you being a knicks fan but I'd say the same about Noah's face. Green is overall more arrogant and annoying tho. Haven't hated someone as much as Green since maybe KG in Boston!

No they didn't give an all out effort but that's not what you want to see either...this a rivalry and on National TV I want my favorite team showing why they're the champs...even if they lose.
They knew GS was coming out charged up and they could have responded better.
The other part you aren't factoring in , is when you give a half effort that's when injuries can occur because the other team is going all out to embarrass you and they don't care one bit if they take someone out.
Think RJ didn't care about Green's shoulder block on Lebron?
GS needs to be slapped as many times by the Cavs as they can..
I've seen every game these two teams have played..and while I cannot stand them, GS has never played any of these games with a lackluster effort..they have been too arrogant and cocky(which was their downfall last year) but they always feel they can flex their muscle in any game.

I'm a classic pessimist so does anyone feel that we've just played shit over the last two weeks. We're an elite team that's gone 6-4 in our last 10. 2 losses were to below .500 teams. Only one loss was under 10 points. We're also 11-8 on the road. The only thing I can say is that it's been a long roadtrip with guys getting sick and injured. And instead of starting the trip in GS we had to end it there (which sucks). So we can probably make some good excuses for the team. But I really hope this isn't a continuing trend because we still have more road games than home games left this season and the Raptors are only 2 games behind us.

really just boils down to the Cavs have proven they can beat Golden State and know how to FINISH games in the clutch against this team....Ty Lue and his staff have proven to be excellent at making adjustments and scouting Golden State over a 7 game series. Yes we could use some help on the bench and I think we will get that via a trade and the buyout market...but come June if it is us and Golden State we should have Pipe back who is huge against that team....Therefore Liggins will not have to play. People need to relax....it sucks to see the Cavs get curb stomped on national TV to those cocky losers but all that matters is getting to the playoffs healthy and demolishing the East and ultimately getting ready for whatever heavyweight comes out of the West (prob Warriors but maybe Spurs). Go Cavs!
