Game #42 - Cavaliers @ Pacers - Jan. 12th, 2018 (Emergency Thread)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hope so. I would like to see them make a move.
Pacers fans are probably my least favorite. They circle jerk to Oladipo like none other. Had some of them try saying that he's the MVP this season.

Well that is just absurd. As I mentioned in the Love thread, OKC is my other team, and I can say I don't miss Oladipo at all. He will have games where he's great and in the zone, but it's largely when he's able to take advantage of his athleticism and is confident with his shot. In most other games, he's mediocre at best, and makes lots of tactical errors. He is definitely not an elite level player. Doesn't have a high basketball IQ at all.

it's frustrating because I love Indianapolis as a whole. Purdue is my favorite "Big 5" conference team, I'm a giant Indianapolis 500/IndyCar fan, My favorite pizza is from there (I know I'll get mocked for that but whatever), and I have insanely strong family roots there.

Yet the circle jerking over Oladipo has driven me nuts. They were JUST ripping their entire fanbase for not showing up to games just this year.

Bonus? I've gotten in arguments with someone in their fanbase who welt that the New Orleans Pelicans and Orlando Magic have a better fanbase than the Oklahoma City Thunder.

....I say this because anyone who's ever set FOOT in Oklahoma? knows that is FALSE. Try walking around tulsa and NOT see a Thunder logo.

It's fine to bash Oladipo if you want but at least acknowledge that you wish we picked him instead of Bennett. If he was a Cav you'd all love the guy.:chuckle:

My problem isn't with Oladipo, it's with the people treating him like he's the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Here's the general opinion about LeBron I kept seeing pop up on my timeline.

Theory? they love the guy because he went to IU. The same fans booed the Pacers when they took Reggie Miller over Steve Alford. Imagine the "DRAFT OSU PLAYERS" meme but even worse.

POTFH.

Pacers fans reallyyyy hate LeBron from my experiences. I think it stems from LeBron always beating them in the playoffs back when he was with the Heat.

I went to game 3 in Indy last year. I had an aisle seat and was rocking my LeBron jersey and a few fans talked shit when they walked by. Then we had the big comeback in the second half and no one else said anything haha.

It's weird because to me, it would be like ripping on Peyton Manning to me.

I had one guy "oh I bet you guys won't like him when he leaves again"

No...No. Because he's tied to one of the best moments in my life and he doesn't owe us anything at this point. I'll be saddened by it, but I'll hope he wins another ring for his legacy.

IT, Rose, Wade, Shumpert and Frye didnt play in this game.

They just got tired with the short bench, on the 2nd night of a back to back, that's all.

Man, I was so pumped when they came out guns blazing and then going into the 2nd quarter I just knew they were going to let up.

I don't know what to expect from this team anymore. I really don't, its frustrating. At some point I'm just going to expect the worst.

With they way this team is playing, I could see them losing by 40 on Monday. Please prove me wrong.

It's just one game but I couldn't help but notice how much better we played without IT.

I know it goes against everything, especially with the way they've looked lately but I think they will go all out on Monday, nationally televised game and beat the Warriors, and then proceed to play meh for the rest of season and end up 3rd or 4th seed in the East.
And we’ll still lose by 30! Haha

Oladipo would’ve been traded long before this current season if the Cavs took him.
