I don't know why people seem to think the Mavs are buying folks out. Cuban famously promised Dirk no tanking and they are only 4 games out of the playoffs. They aren't going to give away free vets. Especially now that they just best SAS and Cavs b2b.

We need a wing defender who doesn't have a jekyll & hyde offense like Shump, we need a backup PG who can shoot the 3, defend but not have to be Tony Allen but can't be a turnstile and is pass first and we need a big man that can protect the rim and not be a complete oaf.
Yea, we're not getting any of those if we don't trade Love for multiple pieces. We need bodies and unfortunately, our cap situation isn't gonna allow for that.

Not going after guys like Terrence Jones when all the money in the free agent market dried up and picking off two guys at minimum has really hurt this team. Just pointing out how Delly and Mozgov got paid should have been easy enough to convince these players that got left out of the free agent frenzy to come to the Cavs.

Think there was a little too much sentimentality with bringing back some of this roster. Jefferson, I get. Hard to get away from what he did. But James Jones should have been asked to take a coaching position. Mo Williams shouldn't have been relied on at all. We messed up not using some of these vet minimum spots on younger more proven guys like Beasley or Jones. Filled up too much of our minimum spots with really old guys.

Remember when every one was saying that GSW bench will be their weakness after KD trade and they won't play defense and can't rebound?
