Game 51 | Cavaliers (35-15) @ Pacers (29-22) | February 8, 2017 | 7:00 PM

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I am allllll for the "throwaway"...

Russ is going to be playing extra hard anyway because he sucked last time. Fuck tomorrow's game. Bench everyone..(again...What's the OKC moneyline...Right now.. For science)

If we throw Love and Irving to the wolves, while resting LB, I'll be pretty moody over that decision.

They also play Saturday. I don't think LeBron plays at all tomorrow night. I'd be surprised if he did. 3 games in 4 nights, is not something he should be doing either. Especially when all games are on the road, traveling.

No way he plays tomorrow IMO.

What'd I miss?.....from the sounds of it Lue made LeBron do a triple triathalon on 3 hours sleep. Is he going to the hospital for IVs or just taking the next week off?

One thing that feels a lot different over the last 4 games is the level of energy and enthusiasm coming from the Cavs bench (meaning players who are sitting on the bench, not just second-stringers). It's been awhile since we've seen bench reactions to plays like Love's dunk in NYC, a bunch of ridiculous plays in Washington, and tonight for Korver and Kyrie.

Of course, a lot of it has to do with winning some games after a rough stretch, but it seems like the chemistry has improved after the griping.

Good moment for a road trip...

This game thread was probably aids early on and quickly shifted.

Played him till near the end of the 4th when there's a game tomorrow. It's a non-issue for some but most would rather have LeBron sit early tonight or never play him against the Thunder. Meh, whatever LeBron thinks best.

KYLE FUCKING KORVER

88% from 3 point. 8/9 from three point
83% field goal. 10/12 total

That game or better percentage wise and that volume has only happened 5 other times in nba history.

Ray Allen
Chris Duhon
Dan Majerle
Rodney Hood
Sam Perkins

Pretty sure LeBron throwing his players and FO under the bus pretty much ignited this winning streak. Not to mention throwing Loves name into trade talks surley lit a fire under his ass. You think LeBron doesn't know what he's doing?

There is a lot of obsessing over his minutes which I find very odd in a game thread against a division rival in a building we never win in. I'm thrilled to have this win. He can rest tomorrow.

I think there are also different kind of minutes. Games like this, where the oppositions defense is so lax and so many other players are perfecting well aren't as taxing and stressing on the body as a game in high altitude against a much tighter, harder working defense like Utah.

The things players in general and LeBron specifcllay in terms of Cyro tanks, yoga, etc are also just on a different level than what was even going on a decade ago.

This was a numerically WEIRD GAME.

Cleveland/Indiana:

FG% = 54.8/50
3P% = 44.4/52
Assists = 24/24
Rebounds = 39/38
Free throw attempts = 26/26
Personal fouls = 16/18
Turnovers = 9/12
Field goal attempts = 84/82
Free throws made = 24/22

Cavs still win by 15.

Because of 3 point shooting, why shooters are so deadly.

They shot it better, but we shot 11 more 3's and made 3 more outscoring them by 9 from deep and being much more efficient on 2's.

Well hell, play him 48 minutes a game then!

Korver 8/9 from three; everybody else was 8/27.

Kyrie couldn't hit a three, but he and Bron were 20/31 from INSIDE the arc.

Cavs protected the ball, too: 24 assists to 9 TOs.

I'm very happy about this win - felt like that building was our kryptonite.

But I am prompted to ask: has the team just said, "Fuck defense - let's just outscore everyone"? Got to get back to something that looks like playoff basketball at SOME point, no?
