Why does an NBA player making millions actively try to look like Tyrone Biggums?

I thought that, coming into the league, Wiggins had the athleticism to be an elite defender, but was rough on the offensive end? What happened with that? Why has he turned out to be a decent scorer and a crappy defender? Did he just work on one end, but not the other? Or were reports of his potential as a defender always premature?

Not sure whats going on. However, I do think Lavine's emergence sort of hurt Wiggins this year.

LeBron had the tools to be an elite defender. Remember how Antwan Jamison use to dominate him his first couple of years?
Wiggins will get better in time. Not every youngster is Leonard's level defensively out of the gate.
