Game #60 | Cavaliers (41-18) @ Hawks (34-26) | March 3, 2017 | 7:00pm ESPN

Then maybe we should wait until post buyout acquisitions play and the return of Love and Swish before evaluating things?

I don't think i'm worried about the defense really, not now anyways. Just pointed out that we had great defense after the trades.
you might say Mozgov was a huge presence for us inside the paint, but even in 2015-2016 after his botched surgery with Mozzy taking a big dip in performance, we still managed to have a very solid defense.

The cavs defense has regressed ever since Lue became a HC. Even in the playoffs in 2016-2017, it wasn't as good as we think it was.
We still relied on out scoring our opponents.

I just want Lue to stop playing Korver 15 minutes straight, have good rotations and not overly rely on a Lebron when he doesn't need to. That's all i'm asking.

Blatt was really underrated as defensive coach though it seems.

Good question.. I have no idea maybe someone else can help us with that.
Again, i'm not saying Blatt was a good fit, because he wasn't. I don't care about him right now, But both of them are not evenly criticized and the things that Lue keeps on doing are being put to the side and marginalized.

Blatt didn't get a fair shake but it was obvious Lebron and him just didn't get along, Blatt would have been torn apart if he had played Lebron so many minutes.Tonight, Korver played 15 minutes straight to close the half and 15 minutes straight to finish the game and it's not the first time it happens.
Korver is not 100% and yet he plays so much, Lue's been harping about experimenting in the RS, but to me it seems like he wants to win badly so he kinda contradicts himself. Korver should rest next game but I don't expect it to happen.

I know this team will be much much better in the post season. But it's more about the players and Lebron rather than Lue. Lue's job is to put the players in the best position to win, if it's by managing their minutes well or putting the right lineups on the floor. You can evaluate the coach based on that.
What you can't evaluate properly right now is the defense but I'm not even criticizing him for that because I have no idea who's fault is that.

We need the best Lebron in the playoffs and we know that Lebron's performance dips when he is tired, so what is he doing? Do we wanna risk it?

In a single season, from 1983-84 to 2016-17, from age 32 to 32, in the regular season, player started game, played G or G-F or F or F-G, requiring Minutes Played (rounded) >= 39, sorted by most games in season matching criteria

Lebron James is chasing history as well as titles

Now I cant control when some players turned 32 so I opened up the age range to get the full seasons

LeBron has played 39 or more minutes in 24 out of out of 56 games. at this pace he will have less than 34 games playing 39 or more minutes.
Far less than other stars have done at his age in the past.

You guys want to pretend that Lue has any control of Lebron's minutes.. when Ultimate Lebron does.
Why because he is one of the greatest players of all time and he has earned that right.

as far as Korvers stretches.. this is pretty common with bench guys who could be capable starters.

I see people " embarrassed" about a record setting win on the road because the home team managed a rally.

Yes I get it. its after the All star break time to look under the hood. However, Adding 4 key rotation players to the team in a two month period (3 of them last week) and 2 starters out for lengthy amount of time.

The Cavs could of been the number 1 defense in the first half and it wouldn't of mattered with this amount changeover.

Search if it's normal to play rotation players for 15 mins straight when they are at age 36, white, not fairly athletic and suffered a knee injury 2 games ago. You know what, narrow it down only to age 36.

Korver is so good for us because he is not a negative on the defensive end. If he has a knee problem he becomes a liability come playoffs time. He needs his lateral quickness as much as the next guy so why risk it now?

I don't have a parser for that. nor do you have any evidence it isn't normal.
I have seen teams like Atlanta ,Golden state ( Iggy), San Antonio ( Manu Ginobli specficially) OKC, Boston and others play their 6th men for long stretches.

If we wait until everyone is back before we can evaluate anything there will be only a week and a half left in the season. And the last one or two games we’ll probably rest everybody.
