Game 80 for the 3rd Seed | Cavs (49 - 30) @ Philly (48 - 30) | April 6th, 2018 | 7:00pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Second night of back to back on the road down by 30 to a team who has won 13 straight and without our point guards. I'm disappointed, but it's not the end of the world. Plus, I really didn't want any part of Miami in the first round anyway.

Relax, just felt like fucking with you since you have Cedi posters all over your man cave.

Some of you turn on players in a blink of an eye. It's insane.

And he is a damn rookie that plays for a shitty coach.

He shot poorly, so what? He had the highest +- on the team and it was clear why. He did other things well.

He played 33 minutes after not playing at all for I don't know how long.

We lost after scoring 130 points in regulation. That's gotta be a record and there is only one suspect.

Players can be good without having a great 3pt shot, just don't put them in that position.

If we played any defense AT ALL the first half, what would that game have looked like?

nba needs to find a way to get rid of back to backs

so many players on the bench and not used. Korver, Nance, Hood...Love plays just 33 minutes and is out of rhythm when he comes back in in the 4th...I get that Hood and Nance didn't look good when they were in but we just have to use our depth and talent better.

Love only 10 shots again. I don't know if they are trying to emphasize other players in the lead up to the playoffs as a learning tool but it is a waste of him just to be spotting up and taking 60% of his shots from 3. He was so good earlier in the season with the variation, working from in to out, almost exclusively on the outside now. That might be a decision to protect him leading into the post season with his tendency to get hurt, keep him from traffic but his confidence flows from success inside. Becomes more aggressive on the boards as well.

Nance has to be used, if that means LBJ at the 2 with Green at the 3 then so be it, rebounding it too important, and he he helps Love defensively. Love at the 5 is such a brittle experiment.

You can praise Cedi and preach patience for his development as an offensive player/shooter without blaming the work that still needs to go into his shot on the coaches.

And it’s the other team that puts Cedi in the position to shoot the wide open three by sagging off him. He has to either:

A: make the shots
B: drive and kick/shoot
C: find someone else with a pass

Cedi played great, I don't know why dsucks is disagreeing

LeBron blew it. Gotta make those free throws and more importantly gotta take on the challenge of guarding Simmons late in the 4th.

I think if Korver plays late we win the game.

However, this will tell us a lot about Cedi. Great playoff atmosphere and learning experience. He'll bounce back.

Bigger concern is the lack of Love in the offense the last two 4th Qrts. Gotta give him more chances.

yeah, after four years here we should really have a whole set of ways to actually use Love on offense in crunch time. But it can still feel like he's the forgotten man late in games.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that in the two games of late without a true PG, Love’s shots and looks have been more sporadic than in the few games prior.

He had 3 mins at the end of the third quarter when the play ran through him and it was like seeing a new player, hit a couple of shots, found Green cutting a couple of times with clever passes. Then sits, comes back in and is back to being a distraction who might get a spot up chance. Such a restricted use of his ability.

Lue should have made the adjustment once Sixers started doubling Bron. Should have got Korver out there. Would have got easy shots. Its not fair to blame Cedi because he was a key reason in us wiping that lead but you could see fatigue playing a part late in the game. Coming off an injury and playing as much as he did in the 2nd half clearly caught up to him. And lets not forget, he isn't a seasoned pro like others. He is a rookie.

We should have won this game though. LeBron had a couple of bad plays, like the one after the steal where he went for the 3 instead of getting a lay-up. Also, Love has to play a lot better. We need to do a lot better job of feeding him but one of the reasons we lost tonight was because Philly had some huge offensive boards.

He is only averaging 12.4 shots for the season. That is less than his years as the third option behind Kyrie, so it is not only a recent occurrence. Those games Pre IT might be the only time in his Cavs career when his skill-set has been close to fully exploited.
