Get Excited Somewhere Else: John Dorsey

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Higgins really hasn't been that much better than last year. He's had about the same number of targets (he'll likely just barely pass last season's target total in week 17...needs three). He's just caught more of them, which to me implies that it's more the QB than Higgins. He had this ability last year, we just didn't have a QB who could get the ball to him consistently.
Good point. Somebody else we shouldn't forget about who may end up looking much improved considering a NFL quality QB will be throwing to them - Ricardo Louis.

Kitchens on Dorsey in the war room:

"Watching John work in there is something else. I have never seen that side of things. To see him and his staff work like they did, it was something. If you guys could ever be a part of that, I would strongly suggest it.”

The Ron Wolf front office tree has produced some serious fruit.

Five current GMs from the Wolf tree.

Seahawks John Schneider
Browns John Dorsey
Colts Chris Ballard
Chiefs Brett Veach
Packers Brian Gutekunst

Three other former GMs
Ted Thompson
Scot McCloughan
Reggie McKenzie

Feels like Elliot Wolf, Scott Fitterer, Trent Kirchner could all get GM gigs within the next year or two.

Gotta love nepotism!

Schneider, Dorsey, Ballard and Veach are all well established, high end NFL GM's. McCloughan is also a very strong talent personnel. Ted Thompson was the bridge between Wolf and Gute, and he did EXTREMELY good in his time.

Gotta love nepotism!

Is it nepotism if the track record is better than the other alternatives? That's like saying MIT grads get all the good math jobs because of nepotism.

No statistical proof that these guys are any better than other GM. Show me evidence otherwise and I'll gladly change my mind. It's all recency and confirmation bias until then.

In this case rejecting recent events is evidence of confirmation bias... just the kind that make my point for me.
