Happy Trails George Hill

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I feel like the Bucks have been a natural fit in terms of a trade going back to offseason. They’re trying to take that next step. Reminds me of early LeBron Cavs trying to make these incremental improvements, selling the future, taking a shot. Admirable but prob not gonna work out. Good luck to them.

If we're being honest, this guy sucked for us...passive little bitch who seemed happy to shed that "league-leading 3pt %" by refusing to shoot beyond the arc. There's also the little issue of him bricking a Finals game-winning free throw.

Happy trails indeed, fucker. So happy to get a killer and a guy who plays with heart back in Delly for your embalmed corpse.

I know delly has his limitations but Hill is not a all star either. Give me delly and his attitude. Great match for sexton

I won't be surprised if Hill averaged career highs in percentages but one of lowest actual points and assists numbers of his career with the Bucks. He is their 3rd guard now and will always be the second or third ball handler. The role fits him well but the question is if they can get him to shot the damn ball.

Absolutely right you are, I couldn't of said it better. He under delivered more than any player in recent memory.

If Hill makes that free throw,,,,,,

JR doesn't loose his mind.
Cavs get a shot of confidence and believe they can win.
LeBron stays home.

But other than that stuff, no problem.

Amazing value for Hill. No one tell the Bucks that his impact might be less than Delly. I think this was more for the flexibility the summer than Hill himself. They have to pay Bledsoe, Brogden, and Middleton in the summer.
I love Delly and am very happy to have him back in a mentor & locker room leader role, but he's done as an NBA caliber player. He was never a good athlete but his mobility has diminished further to the point where he simply can't do much of anything on court anymore. Hill is nowhere near his prime level but he's still levels above current Delly.

It's a very good trade for us but I do think Hill will help Milwaukee.

Sometimes I think that game 3 where he balled the fuck out literally permanently damaged him. Hasn't been the same shooter since, has had lower body issues.

Wasn't able to guard curry effectively after that, and didn't play as much the following year.

Hill was done too. He gave us nothing. I rather have delly than Hill

Delly had a lingering ankle issue in college. It flaired up this season. He is 28 so I'm not really in agreement his body is falling apart. He might have to change his training, which many players need to adjust to through the second half of their careers. His biggest issue in Milwaukee is that Brogdon emerged and is a much more consistent shooter than Delly. Delly has always had games where his shot is on, and then he has games where he shoots 20% from the field. The consistency never materialized for him.

You're dead on, I can't believe how much people are over valuing Hill. He used to be a Cavs killer and I wanted him because of that. He has been less than bitch level since he joined the Cavs, he gave us next to nothing and he wilted when we need someone to play like a pro and sink his damn free throws. He's also been next to worthless in Sexton's development. He's just not the kind of player who takes on a mentorship role, and he never really was any good at facilitating our offense.

Delly does know how to facilitate an offense and he knows how to create assists, plus for his limited quickness he has always been a solid defender. Hopefully he can impart some of this to Sexton. Delly used to guard Kyrie in practice and he would frustrate Kyrie somewhat, hopefully he can give Sexton some of that medicine which would help his development as well.
