Hearthstone

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
New expansion next month!

I hit legend #12 in August to make it a year straight and haven't played seriously at all since. I still help run a league and follow the meta and watch major tournaments, but I've stopped the grind and have actually not regretted it at all.

Mean Streets of Gadgetzan looks really interesting, though. We've only seen about a third of the set spoiled and it's already definitely going to shake up the meta. Blizzard figured out that if they're going to rotate cards after fixed amounts of time, they can get creative with powerful cards. This set is definitely a game changer.

All hail our incoming dragon priest overlords. I'm happy because that's the only class I still need golden.

Dragon Priest one of my all time favorite decks. Can't explain it, it was never awesome, but I hit Rank 4 with it pre-Standard which is the highest I've reached yet, so believe me I can't wait to spam that deck for months :chuckle:

Yeah I like the tools they got a lot.

Blizzard is pushing synergies over raw card power, but also realizing that they can push extremely powerful, synergistic cards and archetypes out knowing they will rotate soon enough.

That second part is a big deal because Whispers and Kara failed at it. If classic is going to remain in the standard format forever, then newly printed cards have to be better than the classic set to see play.

This allows each expansion to print powerful cards that interact/counter the cards previously printed. This shakes up the meta, creates exciting moments of figuring out what to play, and keeps the game from getting stale.

Blizzard is moving an inch at a time, but they're getting there when it comes to design and balance.

Seems like each card announced makes this set look better and better. Super excited about it.

Hey @Cassity14 , speaking of Blizz games, you still ever play any Heroes? That game just gets better and better every week, I swear. It's the one thing robbing me of Hearthstone / Overwatch time.

Not really. I play entirely too much WoW right now. I hop on Heroes occasionally, but rarely.
