This hurricane is weak sauce. It's barely even windy here. I was hoping for torrential downpours, thunder and lightning, heavy winds. Instead, I got a consistent light rain that is just kind of annoying. Fucking lame.

We didn't get much of anything in Charlotte. Some rain, mild winds.
 
So not only did that hurricane suck, but it ended two days before it was supposed to. What a waste of time. Could have at least had the decency to happen during the week so work would get fucked up.

In the larger view, I'd say work DID get fucked up...for the whole state and it's gonna be fucked up for quite some time! (I get what you are saying tho.)

But every inch of rail line, every bridge and overpass will have to be inspected. Undercutting of roads, loss of power, contaminated water....sheesh. What a mess. Not gonna be a fast recovery at all.

Yeah, it was clearly much worse in other places, but Charlotte barely got hit hard at all.
 
I do a lot of business in the Carolinas.

In checking in throughout the coast, my friends in Wilmington appear to have been smacked.
