The Lakers invented poaching stars on rip off trades from the Midwest in the 1970s. The Bucks never recovered from the Kareem trade. Don't you remember all the super teams that didn't work out for the Lakers? How could a team with Shaq, Kobe, Gary Payton and Karl Malone not work out, right? How about a starting line up of Steve Nash, Kobe, Gasol, Artest and Dwight Howard? No matter what, the Lakers feel like they are entitled to big name stars at little to no cost because the NBA never stepped in and used the word parity. So in this scenario, where the Lakers GET FINED FOR TAMPERING ALL SEASON and end up with the stats they lured THROUGH TAMPERING to make a team that probably still barely makes the playoffs, don't ask me to cheer for them. Don't ask me to cheer for any of them. Go Cavs.

Would the Lakers even make the playoffs? Whose to say they will get PG13? Legit question.

The team listed in the OP might not. They're probably a 7 or 8 seed. If they trade for a third guy and fill in with veteran ring chasers, they'd be right behind Golden State and Houston.

So what are the Lakers gymnastics to Bron, PG-13 and Kawhi?

Is it possible from a salary and asset perspective?

As you might imagine, an article on that precise topic is high up on the ESPiN front page.

How does LeBron, Kawhi, and PG even work from a basketball standpoint? They all play the same position! It would end up like that OKC clusterfuck! And those 3 didn’t all play the same position!

PG13 at the 2, Kawhi at the 3, LeBron at the 4. Positions aren't all that important these days.

I still don’t think anyone is beating the Warriors, unless Durant leaves, or someone gets seriously hurt.
I think it'd depend on who they would be able to put around them. LeBron hung around with Golden State in the Finals this year, with a broken hand and one eye in the last 3 games. Being able to have one of PG13, LeBron, or Kawhi on KD at all times would be much better than what we could do this year.

Why don’t Kawhi and PG just come to Cleveland? It’s so much simpler...

George and Leonard are both from LA. Going to the Lakers allows them to both "go home". Coming to Cleveland would require more roster shuffling. George would have to convince OKC to trade him to the Cavs. The Cavs would then have to use whatever's left of their assets to get Kawhi, and plenty of other teams would have better packages. LeBron and George can both sign outright in LA.

Offense:

PG - LeBron
SG - Kawhi
SF - George

Defense:

PG - Kawhi
SG - George
SF - LeBron

That team, with Kawhi 100% healthy and a decent collection of role guys around them can beat the Warriors.

LeBron could legitimately be the starting PG with Kawhi and PG having the ability to shoulder additional ball handling responsibilities.

Waive Deng, trade every asset for Kawhi, sign James and George outright.

Definitely possible.
