I wanna buy a tv

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Bought a 42ish inch Element from Walmart for dirt cheap in 2010. Still going strong now.

Anybody have any info on the durability of different brands? We're looking to buy a 55" to replace the 42" LCD that we've had for 10+ years. $800 seems to be the very max cost that we're willing to pay. Was looking at these two which were also listed as the top 55" TVs in that price range on rtings:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/vizio-5...h-dynamic-range-black/4989100.p?skuId=4989100

Also, it seems like its currently a weird time to buy a new TV. Every TV is 4k but there is like no content in 4k.

Stay away from ultra thin Samsung. Power supplies get hot and go bad. $2000 piece of trash. Looked great when it worked.

I also have small element tv in my bedroom from Wal-Mart. Had it for years and works great. Kids playing around fell into it and broke the Transparent background but didn't break the screen so I put a frosted piece of glass from an old florescent light in and good as new
