Iman Shumpert: Gone! Thank God!

Needed him to step up, and he did.

Nice that Shump and Deron Williams also gave RJ some time off.

I'm glad Shump played well today!

Hopefully we can keep increasing his trade value so he can be traded this summer.

Bingo.

All you people drinking the koolaid, watch out. There's pee in it.

Flashback to 2015 tonight.

He has the ability, obviously. Why he doesn't bring it with any sort of consistency is mind boggling.

Great game tonight nonetheless.

Yeah, I'm giving Lue more credit to be honest. It's infuriating more than anything, it takes him getting benched to finally to start playing hard.

Hey, Shump, just give more effort! You can't make shots all the time? Okay... So what, we need what you brought on defense though. I can live with some of the other stuff if he at least brings the energy on defense every night. Because he's definitely at least very good on that end of the floor when he's dialed in.

Was a flat out stud tonight. He was so good on George. Contesting shots. Active hands, deflections...and most importantly....absolutely out-of-this-world ball denial.

His shot looked solid too. He was open in the corner about 3-4 times in the 4th quarter when Bron was either taking bad shots or turning it over...feel like he would have canned at least two of them if he got 3-4 shots. It was that kind of night for him.

He played great today. I think the benching helped with having him give 100% effort. He also played well with the starters which he played fairly well with all season.

I have always thought he was better at defending wing players which was the role he was brought into play. He had been defending point guards most of the season, which I think the quickness and better ball handling of point guards doesn't play to Shumps strengths.

great performance by Shump. Wasn't it @priceFTW who pointed out that Shump only truly sucks vs. PGs and that he was actually still pretty effective on wings?
He just can't go over screens, which isn't a problem when you're trapping them. It was like the perfect defense for Shump to be playing in. He could get right into PG's shorts without worrying about a pick or blowby. team WANTED him driving.
