Isaiah Crowell, UDFA/Social Media Pioneer

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't know. It sounds like he was the one wanting a long term deal and the Browns wanted him to suck it up and play for the tender.

I don't think it's that.

Negotiations allegedly broke down a while back. I assume Crowell is asking for more money than the team thinks he's worth.

This is another fascinating angle I'm waiting to see the Browns FO tackle. Do they believe that RBs are worthy of a 2nd long term contract?

I could see them not reupping with RBs and continually burning 3rd day picks on them to build a stable. Is Dayes the first part of this process?

Any stat the makes Terrence West top 3 is pretty obscure.

I was gonna say... did we actually do well scouting running backs or is that just a terrible stat? [emoji23]

Actually yards of contact is a very important running back stat.

Yards after contact for 3rd year backs only is really fucking obscure.

It might be a good stat if you are breaking tackles. It might be a bad stat if you can't find a hole in the line and the first contact is 3 yards behind the line of scrimmage.

It's possible Crowell wants more money than the Browns want to give and he is betting on himself to get the stats to really earn the money from someone. Problem is with a bunch of high picks and RB being one of the positions that seem to be able to be effective as rookies, he is still a long shot to get the contract he wishes even with a good season. This is his year to really shine and prove why he should be a number 1 RB in the NFL and hopefully if he does have a good season we keep him for a few more years since RB is such a fickle position and is a position very few players ever reach ten years on.

If he goes, he goes. Thats his right.

The 2018 draft has some serious studs right now. Barkley, Chubb, the guy out of ASU, Bo in Alabama....

I like Crow, but I'm not going to sweat this contract thing. If he goes, he goes. Honestly, I think this will open-up opportunities for Poop Dick to get more of the load. Who knows what Matthew Dayes will amount to, but I'd bet they give him a chance to earn carries also.

Poop Dick isn't that good.

Poop Dick isn't that good.

Poop Dick might switch to slot receiver.

Might have to draft a RB in 2018 which is ok, especially if someone steps up to be a true starting qb.
