J.J. Hickson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Trade JJ now while his stock is at it's peak

His defense is absolutely horrible. He gave up a lot of points because of not rotating on defense.

Really he has no offensive game other than assists from LBJ.

Only if we get Iggy and Brand. I don't know if I could part with JJ's potential for 1 or 2 good years from Jamison. Although I wouldn't hesitate to give Washington our 1st next year.

Did you watch the game? Seriously?

He also had good plays on defense too....And have you ever seen us just drop the ball to JJ and let him go to work or run a play just for him? I don't think so, So how can you judge is offensive game...Stop complaining...He came up big tonight and actually kept us in the game in the first half.

Seriously for all the hate he gets, can we finally show JJ some love for once.

He grabbed 14 rebounds on maybe the best front court in the league.

He stepped up big tonight.

:chuckles:

I dunno. I'm not too impressed but I like his hustle. I'd say trade him still.

I would trade him in a friggen heartbeat. He wreaks of stupid but I am going to give him his props tonight. His activity was a breath of fresh air and he was making the most of what the defense was giving him. I saw a lot of things I like tonight that completely overshadowed any mistakes that were made.

He is only 21 ... and also he has a lot of post moves in his arsenal. They just never used because he is a hustle player on this team. No plays run for him at all. If you watched him at his one year in College. His post moves were amazing, he had great footwork and loved contact and adjusting in air to get the and one.

But Amare was also a product of Nash assist when he was a youngin. Then they started to let him take over a little more as he grew stronger and more confident. JJ has a lot of potential.. keep in mind he'd be a Junior in college right now.

But Amare was also a product of Nash assist when he was a youngin. .

Amare averaged 20/9 the season before Nash got there, he became more efficient with Nash but was always a beast, don't compare them.

I believe his 14 rebounds were tied with the third best rebounding total by a Cleveland player this year - in an intense game against a tough team. Have to give him credit where credit is due. Up till now I have considered him the weakest link. But if he could bump a couple areas of his game to average - (I`ll take rebounding and defense for now) all of a sudden our front court becomes more formidable. Here`s pulling for a couple more double-doubles in the next few games,:fingersx:

:chuckles: at the irony.

That team was also 23 and 59 Amare had no rules or restrictions out the court. JJ is 2nd year player playing for a championship caliber team. I have no doubt JJ could average those same numbers on a bum team playing 30 + minutes

Whether you like him or get completely frustrated by him, JJ tonight

1) played 25 minutes, which allowed AV to play only 24 minutes and stay fresh at the end.

2) showed energy when no other Cav seemed to have it at the start of the game

3) showed either promise (or gave a performance not to be repeated anytime soon)

4) got seen by other GMs watching the game who might consider him in a trade

5) can get past all the criticism he took last year for screwing up on the defensive boards by grabbing 12 tonight.

If only he could be consistent....we just have to wait and see.
