So Long, James Jones

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Made his money tonight. Good on d and really steadied the ship.

I fucking love the random "dust off Champ" nights. Atta boy, Old Timer!

He's like The Gimp in Pulp Fiction.

A-am I the only one who thinks champ can actually give us some scarce rotational minutes?

I defy someone to tell me he is a worse defender than Channing. He's got great chemistry with LBJ and isn't the worst defender we have.

He's still a phenomenal shooter

When Lue starts someone you just gotta trust him. I am not surprised at all by his performance.

I defy ANY comparisons to Channing.

BUT... I do feel like Champ has one more Dhantay Jones playoffs moment in him.

Champ has got to be the best in the NBA in that his shot is impervious to rust. He can not play for 10-15 games in a row, but when he gets in he hasn’t missed a beat.

Dude must be a beast in practice.

This is why a team with championship aspirations keep vets instead of young guys with potential high rewards. There still has to be some balance of each, but having someone like JJ who you can rely on for consistency is SO valuable. No one should be overly surprised, this is what Jones has been doing for 4 or 5 years now, in varying amounts. Having a player that the coach knows EXACTLY what he'll get when he inserts them is one less variable to juggle when trying to fill rotations for illness/injury/whatever.

Arguably the second best player tonight.

Which kinda sums it up from a win loss perspective.

Just amazing how he can be dusted off and still shoot like that.

James Jones gonna show Korver how to shoot.
